2020-07-07 | (A) Jeff B | vs | Tom Mueller | | Russian win | After the initial quick hit, the Germans just bog down as they're held back by the unstoppable KVs. Even still, I would've won had I not blown a CC against an immobilized/MALF'd MA KV. Final score 24-29. |

2018-01-12 | (D) David Garvin | vs | John Gorkowski | | German win | My poor, poor KVs. What a match! Well, one KV lasted the match, but the other, after blasting a 9-2 to smithereens, was promptly destroyed in close combat by some resolute Landsers. Great match!
Played at Winter Offensive 2018 |
2018-01-01 | (A) B S | vs | John G. | | Russian win
2017-11-26 | (D) Martí Cabré | vs | Santiago López | | German win | The Germans quickly dispatched the Russian light tanks but then were stuck in a corner of the map. The KV systematically failed their shots and the Germans managed to push forward. A couple of snake eyes dispatched the truck and one KV and a Russian stack of 3 got broken and surrendered to the Germans giving them a lead of 10 on the last turn. |

2016-07-15 | (D) jon smith | vs | | | Russian win | broke 3 MA including a kv2, immobilised the other kv2 all in firs tturn.. never repaired gun.. Still and easy win.
Interesting scenario from rules POV, but not competitive at all... too easy for Russians. |

2015-12-30 | (D) Colin Emerson | vs | Michael Dorosh | | Russian win | Germans are at a severe disadvantage in the AFV department. The KV-2's can roll around and pummel the Germans. Having the 76LL AA gun was another major threat.
I tried to deal with the German armor as I withdrew backwards. It's a large front to cover with 8 squads. Germans were slowly taking buildings but ran out of time.
Love the 152mm gun |
2015-12-30 | (A) Michael Dorosh | vs | Colin Emerson | | Russian win | Not surprised to see the win/loss ratio here favour the Russians. Our playthrough was ok - the KVs are to be feared and couldn't quite get my infantry to pressure Russians. Russian player also presumed his AA truck was just a tractor for the AA gun, and I didn't notice until the last player turn when I destroyed it with SA that he could have used the 16FP all game. As it turns out, he didn't need it. Solid defence on his part. |

2015-05-24 | (A) nathan wegener | vs | Albert W | | Russian win
2015-04-18 | (D) David Yllanes | vs | Juanjo M | | German win | A nice simple scenario. I had a solid start and things were looking up at the bottom of Turn 2, but nothing worked from then on. My KVs had terrible aim and in the end I had to risk my infantry and got them slaughtered. |
2014-12-30 | (D) Gordon Jupp | vs | Nick Jennings | | German win | Good fun game, made much more difficult for the Russians after I rolled boxcars for BOTH KV2 on start up....Did generate a hero but to late to make a difference....worth a replay though :) |
2014-02-26 | (D) Kermit Mullins | vs | Scott Waites | | Russian win | Playing this one for the second time. German assault has come in on the NE corner. One turn down...we'll see where the German reinforcing tanks come in... |
2013-10-09 | (D) Chuck Dye | vs | AK | | Russian win
2013-06-21 | (D) Kermit Mullins | vs | Roy Connelly | | Russian win | This game came down to the wire and tied VP, with the Russians gaining the win. |
2013-01-12 | (D) Chris Thompson | vs | Davin McHenry | | Russian win | Barely made it, tying VP, for a Soviet win. This one was a hoot. We messed up a couple rules, as far as CC vs AFV, and a HIP placement mess up, but had a fun time. |
2013-01-12 | (D) Dan Best | vs | Cliff Smith | | German win | Winter Offensive ASL Tournament 2013. |
2012-10-30 | (D) Andy Beaton | vs | David Langer | | German win | Came out ahead on buildings, but behind on armour and way behind on infantry. Good fun. |
2012-08-15 | (A) Jeff T | vs | Jerry | | Russian win | We played the first 3.5 turns of 5. I came in mostly using armored assault on the South side and reinforced the South with the 3 PzIIIs on turn 2. I had good luck eliminating the 76LL AT crew on a MC when Jerry rolled boxcars. A PzIII flamed the BT 76 only to die from a shot through the smoke from the 76LL AT gun, now manned by regular infantry (+2 non-qualified, +3 smoke, hit on a 5!).
There was a really nice gun duel between a PzIV and one of the platoon BTs with the Panzer shocking the Russian crew, then they recovered only to have 3 shots bounce harmlessly off the Panzer before (one a possible shock that the German crew scoffed at). Finally the Panzer dispatched them to create the third burning wreck on the map.
My armored assault on the South side was successful, breaking two squads and eliminating them for failure to rout. The German 9-2 is in the middle of town on the West edge holding the 3 VP buildings there but doing little else.
At Russian turn 4, score is Germans 28 Russians 20. A KV has a 1 acq on a PzIII in motion that could close the gap. It looks grim for the Russians but the Russians have two turns to counterattack.
We continued this one from Turn 4. We ended the previous session with the Germans in control, up 28-20 with control of 6 buildings (12 VP) and two tank kills (BTs) for another 10 VP) and 6 VP from casualties (1 crew, 2 mmc). The Russians moved first and the KV scored a kill on a PzIV to move to 28-26. They then advanced into a German controlled VP building and just like that it was 26-26. The Germans in their turn 5 moved a squad adjacent to another VP building where they disrupted some conscripts and took them prisoner for 4 VP. It was 30-26 Germans. They moved one halfsquad guarding the prisoners back and advanced another into a VP building against an 8-0 Russian leader. The CC was no effect and so they stayed in melee.
The Russians won the game on the final turn when a KV scored a kill on a PzIII with an intensive fire shot and then ran the heroes of the soviet union from the AT gun (they took over for the crew and scored a kill earlier) to brave two first fire shots, one from a 9-2 leader and a MMG to advance into the last VP building with the melee to ensure it stayed contested and lock up the 32-30 win. If they hadn't made it, the Germans could have killed the leader and secured 2 VP for the building to squeak out a 33-32 victory, but alas Jerry pulled a victory from the jaws of defeat. Great victory and further evidence that it's never a good idea to throw in the towel early in ASL. |

2009-10-22 | (A) Marvin Baker | vs | Tom Harper | | Russian win | Lots of fun. I hit the KV's all night long and couldn't make the kill. I would play this again with no problem, either side. |
2009-09-18 | (A) Michael Rodgers | vs | Darren Kovacs | | Russian win | Russians had balance. Germans had total brain lapse. |

2009-07-05 | (A) Ian Willey | vs | Paul Jones | | Russian win | Close game, came down to just two points. Felt I had the win then did something stupid |
2009-06-24 | (A) kevin kenneally | vs | Russian | | Russian win | GREAT scenario. My tactics may have hurt me. |
2009-06-20 | (A) Edward Fritz | vs | Scott Burkhardt | | Russian win | Those KV-2s are nearly invincible, but slow. Deliberate Immobilization worked well to keep them still while infantry CCed them. |
2009-06-19 | (D) Sebastia Hummel | vs | Armin Kraft | | Russian win | Armin attackes through the middle. The 76LL in 56/T0 decided the game with 4 destrouyed tanks (but U lost both BT and both KV without getting a kill with them) |
2009-05-20 | (A) Will Waller | vs | Geoff White | | German win | Split the attack in two to go for both flanks and managed to get 7 buildings with 2 buildings disputed and only 4 for the Russians. Lost two PzIVs to the Russians' two BT7s and aamg truck. Fun scenario, burning wrecks helped as a smoke screen when mild breeze got up to hinder KVs. |

2009-04-02 | (D) Fernando Garcia-Maniega | vs | Alex L. Serrano | | German win | Not bad for Russians until Turn 3 with two burning PzIVs and a PzIII elim by a KV2. But things went from bad to worst. An imm. PzIII scored a CH KIAing the 76LL and in Turn 4 another CH with AP against a KV2. The other KV2 was KIAed by the other PZIII with a 2,1 TK DR from 2 hexes, and so on... |
