Overview:
To block the KPA’s drive to the city of Taegu, U.S. forces deployed across a small valley boarded by a river on one side and steep hills on the other. For one week they held off attack after attack, culminating in the savage night attack on the 21st. The valley soon became known as the "Bowling Alley" after the night attack as armour piercing shells which glowed like balls of fire hurtled the length of the narrow valley.Attacker: North Korean (Elements of the 15th Division)
