Overview:

The Germans responded quickly to the British presence at Arnhem. Walter Harzer’s 9th Panzer “Hofenstaufen” Division was ordered to mop up the paratroopers west and north of the town. A rag-tag force under Lt. Gen. Hans von Tettau was sent to overrun the British drop zones. That first night, the British staved off a series of uncoordinated attacks as the motley collection under von Tettau’s command harassed the perimeter. As dawn came on the second day of the battle, yet another attack – this one overseen by von Tettau himself – sought to collapse the Red Devil’s flank.

2024-12-15(A) Michal Sedlacko vs Sean Dolbow German (SS) win[Imported from ROAR]
2023-06-30(A) Alex Ashton vs Martin Barker British winA great learning scenario and finely balanced.
I was making reasonable progress until turn 7 but in the end the British firepower pulverised my squads. The ELR is low and I kept breaking.
Resigned at the end of turn 9 with no hope of winning.
My school of hard knocks continues as Martin stretches his winning run to 4 games. His use of fire lanes was a good learning experience.
Despite being easily beaten again it seems the best way to learn and improve my play is to suffer these humiliations.
2023-02-19(D) Mark Hatfield vs Steve German (SS) winI should have set-up my MMG and 9-2 further back, but I set-up everything in the village. Steve used his conscripts in the middle to lock me in place and flanked with his 2nd line squads along each board-edge. I conceded around turn 4 when it was obvious his force on my right was going to get past me and there was nothing I could do to stop them.
2022-01-13(A) John Garlic vs Ed Barnes British win[Imported from ROAR]
2021-09-17(D) Will Willow vs F. Schwarz German (SS) winMF FtF
2021-07-28(A) Vilis Pavulans vs Jakob Gruvaeus British winVery tough. A wall of british fire. Unbreakable troops despite a few 16 and 24 FP shots to try to punch a hole. In the second half of the game a window opened up and the germans rushed the northern flank with what little forces were left. A few troops were left behind to try to prevent the british to come after but they were quickly shattered and in the end a brave leader and a created hero were on the brink of getting out when another snake from the brits killed the leader and the game was lost.
2021-04-23(D) Dmitry Klyuykov vs Fedor Grachev British win
2021-02-23(D) manzoli andrea vs Galletto German (SS) winGreat scenario ..resolved at last turn..simply rules but strategic moves
2021-02-23(A) Savo Barbero vs Opponent Aanonymous German (SS) win[Imported from ROAR]
2021-02-15(D) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne Duval British winUsed German balance. The Germans were quickly shattered and given no chance to get back on an equal footing.
2021-02-15(A) Dwayne Duval vs Kevin Duval British winStopped cold by the British.
2020-12-04(A) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best British winDan's Scots broke my Germans early and often. I ELR'd constantly and lost too much power to get past Dan's boys. I gave the concession at the end of 5.
2020-12-04(D) Dan Best vs Kermit Mullins British win
2020-04-24(A) Eric Partizan Eric vs British win
2020-03-30(A) David Garvin vs David Ready British winTurn 2 it was over. The Brits could not miss any of their fire attacks. Not one.
Most of my force had ELR'd to Conscripts and I had yet to cause even a NMC on any Brit.
Terrible scenario
2018-03-16(D) Jeff B vs Ed Donoghue British win2.75 hrsThis one is all about fire lanes for the Scots. That being said, there is a shit ton of time for the Germans to accomplish their mission. My initial thought was how is it possible for the Scots to hold out that long? I guess that question was answered in spades when our game was over by the middle of Turn 4 with the Germans conceding. Granted Turn 4 probably saw the worst case of dicing I've ever seen, but the Germans just got shredded to bits in trying to make an aggressive push. I still do wonder how the Scots can hold out that long if the Germans make a concentrated attack at one point.
2018-01-08(D) rene cote vs mrosberg British winA fast scenario that can deteriorate quickly with the dice. Brits had a ROF tear and a half dozen IFT attacks under 6 to decimate the Germans beyond hope in the first half of the board. Its great to practice fire and manoeuvre as well as fire lanes.
2017-01-31(A) Ken Rutkowski vs BE Karlsson British winFun scenario. I waited too long to make the dash for the exit VP.
2017-01-23(D) B-E Karlsson vs SS British win
2016-11-30(A) B-E Karlsson vs Brittish German (SS) winGreat game. Had a lot of good rolls. Opponent did some tacical mistakes which cost him the game.
2016-06-08(A) JP Laurio vs German (SS) win
2015-11-01(D) Martí Cabré vs Lee Hyde British winVASLeague 2015, Round 5. The Germans tried to advance in force against the British positions but they were decimated by murderous MG fire, though the British malfunctioned their both LMG. Even so, a couple of German squads managed to pass the British line on both sides of the board and tried to make it for the exit. On the critical point a British squad rolled a MC for a 1,1 getting Fanatic and Hero and on the other side the German squad lose a CC. With only some units left in the center of the board the Germans tried a voluntary break to reach the board edge but then failed the rally roll so they conceded the game. Seems a good scenario but maybe a hint too dicey.
2015-09-25(A) leo zhu vs flying7 British winWe changed side and play in VASL.However, Flying7 have got enough lesson and have good defense.
2015-09-19(D) leo zhu vs flying7 German (SS) winIt's the 2nd time to play this scenario.Canadian which was controled by me make great wrong to abadon the defence of clear terrain and also not lucky.
2015-03-03(A) Pieter Van Innis vs Danny Peeters German (SS) win
2014-02-21(D) Stanley Neo vs Vladimir S German (SS) winMalaya Madness 2014
2013-12-14(A) Russell Dewhurst vs Jim F German (SS) win
2012-02-12(A) Richard Carter vs Stephen M British winCanadian or Scots? The Scots won this one with a great MMG shot at long range to break and kill for failure to route a squad with mmg and leader on last half hex. The rest couldn't get through.
2011-11-01(A) Jeff Coleman vs Are Erlandsen German (SS) winGood set up for the Brits,Sniper took out 9-2 leader first turn.after that Germans pressed the Attack and won
2009-05-15(D) Dan Cunningham vs BB German (SS) winPoorly setup defence and a solid attack lead to a comfortable Germin win
2009-05-02(D) Keith Colins vs Chris Kozloski British win
