Overview:

During the opening stages of Barbarossa, the first great pincer movement on the Central Front occurred between the cities of Bialystok and Minsk. As a result of the encirclement of four Soviet armies in the pocket, the high command was forced to commit whatever units were available in an effort to form a new defensive line. To gain more time, a crack unit – the 1st Moscow Motor Rifle Division – was sent to intercept Guderian’s 18th Panzer Division as it struck towards Smolensk. The enemy had to be slowed if they could not be stopped. A little more than six miles east of Borisov, near the village of Lipki, the two armored spearheads met in a series of clashes.

2025-01-04(D) Richard Jenulis vs Dave Wilson Russian win3 hrsThis may have been the worst ASL game I played. I abandoned my "sit on the exit hexes" tactics for an idiotic "go on the attack" one. I knew better and did it anyways. Dave set traps for my by baiting my tanks. I saw them and did a deep dive into the traps. It didn't help that the Russians hit everything they shot at.

2023-03-07(A) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne DuvalA German winIt was close at the end, impossible to get Russian EVP due to Germans sitting on the exit, and we went for the "hail Mary" to try to get the CVP need ... Russians only needed 1 CVP at the end with an easy Truck sitting alone, the two squads tasked with the mission failed to Eliminate it giving Germans the win.
2020-10-31(A) Shane Pask vs German winAaargh! Looking good for the victory then a 2nd line squad rallies, advances on the KV2, survives DF, passes PAATC and immobilises tank while in motion. Return fire fails to dislodge him and now stuck in CC. Without KV, only 16 mobile exit points on board and some unlikely to reach exit. Behind on CVP and not likely to catch up especially with KV now immobile and in CC.
I started well - first shot activated sniper who shot Pz III commander for recall (despite several more snakeyes by Germans, this was the only sniper shot in the scenario). Then reinforcements did not arrive until turn 6.
