2019-06-08(A) Shane Pask vs Chinese winChinese filled the factory with most of their squads. I found out that a couple of MG nests were outside as my two top leaders failed 1MC in different attacks and died on turn 2. Almost ready to admit defeat while still outside the factory on turn 5 but once inside luck changed and the Chinese withered. Japanese won 2/3 CC on last turn but the lost one gave Chinese the victory.
2018-10-28(D) Doug McMullen vs Steve Steinmetz Chinese winA great scenario. The perfect first PTO scenario to try out the Japanese. All infantry and no jungle terrain -- but so interesting you don't mind the lack of toys. A few notes: 1. The scenario seems to play with a slight Chinese edge. The scenario-suggested balance to help the Japanese is awful IMO (I've played this three times now) It's much too heavy and ruins the scenario. Instead, in this latest playing I took the Chinese but for balance I took no OB granted dummies. A light balance. Steve's Japanese had the game won but couldn't roll a 10 or less on the final CC -- and I squeaked out a victory. That seems pretty balanced! 2. Chinese player should note that Kindling is NOT NA. Creative kindling should be a part of the defender's arsenal (*arson*al?) 3. As a first PTO this is often played by newer players -- if that applies to you, be sure to review the rule book for the Factory rules -- these are easy to overlook but are crucial to the scenario being played correctly.
2017-12-26(A) Christian Knudsen vs Mark Sockwell Chinese winA super-fun scenario that I highly recommend to anybody. Mark pulled it off by absolutely refusing to break a squad in one of the fortified locations, even after being encircled. Even so it came down to the last CC, which I couldn't pull off. What a blast!
2017-07-04(A) David Garvin vs Jim Thompson Chinese winI'm attacking as Japanese. First, after failing to pass even NMCs during my initial rush, striping a bunch of guys, but carrying on due to the massive firepower coming up, I blast away. A 2 MC on 2 of his defending elite squads! This is it! I'm going to crack his wall and pour through. Heck, I even have his rout paths blocked! They will have to run upstairs and get upper level surrounded! Wait! A roll! "4". He passes! That's ok, I he hit my SAN. Next roll. "2". OK, hold on, first my SAN. Oh, look, on a dr I get higher than either of his DR. So, let's see the HOB roll: "3". Hero. Towel, I toss you in. Games like this one are infuriating. But, as always, there are those that keep bringing you back. I'll be back
2017-03-30(A) leo zhu vs Erwin Lau Japanese winAfter 89 files changed by Email,JAP defended CHN with a gloriousvictory!
