On the day the war ends in
Europe, the fighting in the city of Prague is just approaching a crescendo. German
units - still in control of the city - are battling the local Czech partisans who
started the Prague Uprising several days previously. The partisans, desperate
for help in any form, invite the Russian Liberation Army to fight the Germans
for them, in return for asylum once the war ends. Unfortunately for the Russians
under General Vlasov, the communist partisans have no intention of allowing
Russian traitors asylum, and brutal three-way fighting erupts throughout
the city.. . . . . One of the few, if not the only, ASL scenarios ever published involving 3 players where all three players are fighting both other sides. The partisans sport a French armored car with a 12.7mm main
armament. The SS has the use of a couple of powerful tank
destroyers and a Pz38(t), while the ROA has a couple of captured
T-34s, a Hetzer, and a few German halftracks, one of which is
armed with flamethrowers. To top it off, all three sides are given
some form of panzerfaust ability, and the partisans and SS each
have a panzerschreck. You can just imagine the carnage of scrap
metal that results.

This, one of the first deliberately-designed, three-player scenario is a blast. As one of the early Kinetic Energy folks, I have played it several times. This time, as the SS, with a very brittle 0 ELR, I played against Dave Mareske as the ROA and Dan Best as the Partisans. An aggressive play by me put three squads adjacent to Dan's 10-2 and HMG in the VC building. One fire phase later and I had a broken half-squad left next to the building... Dan's HMG and squad held on for nearly three turns. Dave was able to get his 9-2 and a squad in CC with it; unfortunately, he missed the CC kill DR and the stack of Partisan+ROA units in melee took a 36-flat shot from my SS. Ouch. Dave's flamer-halftrack was recalled by a sniper shot. Dave did get a sweet (for him!) critical hit by one of his T34s vs. one of my TDs even though the latter was hull-down; kablamo and burn. Dan's random Partisans showed up in force on the ROA side of the board, which substantially distracted Dave's infantry and that ended up being enough for my SS to get the win. Totally fun game and scenario!

Really fun game for 3 players - I chose and got the SS as my first choice and the other two diced for the Partisans with Jeremy losing the dr and getting the ROA. The SS killer stack caused mayhem on the Partisans and the ROA were unable to make much progress allowing the SS to solely occupy the main building. Will definitely play again!

Crazy game with everything but the kitchen sink. The SS eliminated a wounded 7-0 Partisan leader in close combat and broke two Partisan reinforcements trying to reach the building on the final turn. The SS won by solely occupying the building.

Before we started the game, we decided "alliances" were OK, but there would be no table talk/electronic message to facilitate that.
Early in the game, the SS and the ROA forces traded tanks till the SS and even the partisan were depleted of AFV's. The ROA still had a Russian tank, a Hetzer, a FT HT , and a normal HT. Interestingly, the FT HT never took a FT shot (it was positioned to do one - but got stunned in the process)
The infiltration rule generated 2 full squads for the partisan (along with 6+1 leaders) as well as 3 HS scattered through the game.
The victory conditions are graduated and somewhat difficult to plan ahead for a victory. Everyone just kept attempting to control the major building (then the other victory conditions kicked in if no one controlled it outright)
On the Partisan portion of the last turn. There were some ROA forces in the building (but no SS). If the partisan could break or drive them from the building, then it would be a simple partisan victory. In prep Fire, a 6+1 partisan leader attempted a PF check successfully. It fired on the adjacent hex and rolled a 3 getting a hit. All but one ROA unit broke with the 16 flat attack. The partisan then moved up all his units in the building to advance & CC the remaining squad. Luckily, this was on the far side of the building from the SS - so they had no defensive fire shots. In the CC phase there was no ambush (even with a 10-2 partisan leader and a pinned ROA squad). The CC attack was 3-1 with a -2 modifier, killing the ROA squad outright for the partisan win
