Starter kit scenario?:    Deluxe scenario?:
The past couple of days had seen horrific fighting at the Stalingrad-1 Rail Station. On the morning of 16 September, the 1st Battalion of the 42nd Guards Regiment turned away an attack by twelve self-propelled guns with supporting infantry. Not long after the Germans renewed the attack, starting with a fierce bombardment by Stukas and artillery that "buckled the girders and blew down the walls". The a large force of tommy-gunners supported by some twenty self-propelled guns began to advance towards the Guardsmen, heralding yet another round of bloody close quarter combat.

2018-03-12(D) Tom Kearney vs Al Saltzman Russian winI packed the station with 6-2-8s and a 10-0 Comissar, and reinforced the throughout the fight. The Germans eventually gained a foothold in the station but were pushed out in a counterattack. MOLs killed three tanks with another going down to a 45LL crit. At the bottom of the 4th Alís personal morale failed and the Germans conceded.
2013-01-25(A) Richard Carter vs Stephen M Russian winI lost on CVP cap. We actually would have taken the station likely and the requisite stone locations but had 61 CVP when one of my tanks was destroyed on a street fighting ambush and he got my 10-2 armor leader w/ him. Ugghh! Anyway, I will say it got a bit tedious toward the end.
2011-03-28(D) Fred Ingram vs Jeff Coleman Russian winWhat a slugfest (huge too). The Russians actually won this when the wind increased to heavy winds and the pioneers and Stug's lost thier ability to hinder fire at will. Jeff got the requisite 13 buildings on the top of turn 7, but the CVP cap was getting close at 56 points. The bottom of the 7th saw an encicled German squad getting killed for 3 more VP, but the Russians were able to break through in the middle and gain back about 3 to 5 buildings. We never went past the movment phase since it was obvious the Russins have won. Good game, great opponent.
