2012-12-14(A) Andy Beaton vs Ardneh Romanian/German winA real back-and-forth seesaw fight. A lucky shot broke his attempt to take back the strongpoint and it ended in my favour
2012-07-01(D) Dan Best vs Greg Sackett Romanian/German win
2012-04-28(D) Jeff T vs Ripper Russian winScenario started out well for the Axis minors as the Romanian mortar got on a rate of fire tear and took out a Russian squad manning a MMG on a hill. Unfortunately it was all downhill from there. The initial attack was repelled by the Russian INF and AA guns. They got on numerous rate of fire tears, essentially stopping cold the entire right pincer of the two-pronged attack. The Russian 9-1 with HMG also got into the act as the Romanian forces broke and wilted under fire. 4.5 squads KIA through attrition due to multiple attacks before the German StuGs could lay down smoke. By turn 4 the fanatic strongpoint had fallen to the Axis but the Russian village force was entirely intact and the Russians were still in strength on the hills. A final push was met with withering defensive fire and multiple ROF attacks finally led the Axis to concede. Looks like a very fun scenario, but the dice were with me (and the Russians) today.
