Overview:

The 2nd SS Panzergrenadier Division headed directly at the Russian stronghold in front of the fortified town of Lutschi, defended by the 2nd Guards Rifle Division, which was reinforced with elements of the 28th Antitank Artillery Regiment. This is where the “Das Reich” would try and achieve their breakthrough. The Veronezh Front Commander, General Vatutin, recognizing the danger sent part of his reserve of the 5th Guards Tank Army.

2025-04-28(D) John Garlic vs Vic Rosso German (SS) winExcellent scenario. Germans quickly overran the hill, but fight went down to last turn in the village.
2021-12-10(D) Martí Cabré vs Toni Carbonié German (SS) winMy defense was smashed by rocket OBA, scoring a CH on my big pillbox with my 10-2, MMG and 458 inside. All KIA. After that the Germans shot a lot of well placed smoke that allowed them to reach both the hill and the village almost untouched. My Churchills managed to kill some lesser tanks and I wrecked a Tiger with the 122 but on turn 2 the SS infantry was already unloading from the halftracks inside the village so I conceded.
2021-05-17(D) Will Willow vs Jeff Waldon Russian winRain started first turn and stayed all game. Rocket OBA ineffective. OBA tank taken out before dropping anything. Russians got the balance and it still went to the last turn.

2017-11-30(D) David Garvin vs Jonathan Kay German (SS) win
2017-06-28(A) Tom Kearney vs Al Saltzman German (SS) winI massed the majority of my armor against the hill with pioneers in halftracks. The infantry and some armor moved for the village. The pioneers breached the AT ditch in front of the hill and the armor overran the hill. I then hit the village from the south and west. After a sharp fight the Soviets were forced from the village and the Germans prevailed.
2016-11-09(D) nathan wegener vs Randy Shurtz German (SS) winTense battle swung back and forth. Scattered defenders all around so rockets could do little to hurt defense. He charged in first term with little damage but as he pivoted around the AT ditches to climb the hill my AT guns roared to life. Mid game looked really good for me but opp got a run of luck as my big armor entered and soon they were gone. It took 2 tigers to sweep the hill and remaining HTs carted the infantry to the village. Down to last half turn - I made a couple of late mistakes to give up too many village buildings but had inf in position to give me a chance on final half turn.
2016-09-23(A) Jason Wert vs Michael Daschbach Russian winAwesome battle with good fun for both sides. It was a tense game into Turn 8. Geri's (me) made the mistake of pulling back from hill assault when it looked to be well in hand to reinforce village assault. In the end, Mike's reinforcements got the hill stabilized and saved it.

2016-02-13(A) Andy Hershey vs Keith Spurlock Russian win[Imported from ROAR]

2013-09-27(D) Gordon Jupp vs Nick Holmshaw Russian winReally interesting game with lots of toys and choices for both sides. I closed off the left flank with the A-T ditch and placed the big guns in pill boxes to cover the rest of the board...the guns then did massive execution against the German armour and blunted the attack. Nick wasn't helped by a poor rocket bombardment, which did nothing, and drawing 2 red chits on his OBA without landing a shell...he never recovered from this and although made valiant efforts didn't make the hill.
2012-03-15(D) Rich Weiley vs Dave Longworth Russian winEPIC scenario. Soviet artillery proved to truly be the God of War.
