Furor Hungaricus ETO (id:#61445)
(HASL 8 - Festung Budapest ID:FB 3)
Designer: Bill Cirillo
Starter kit scenario?:    Deluxe scenario?:
German / HungarianRussian
Unwilling to accept the 19 January loss of the Városmajor to the Soviets, Major Lázlo Vannay quickly regrouped his men for an assault at 0500 the next morning, having secured the support of two Zrinyi IIs from the 10th Assault Gun Brigade and additional armor from Panzer-Division 13. After laying out his plan on a blackboard in the sacristy of the church at the east end of the Városmajor, he proceeded to the pulpit to address his troops, where he beseeched his men to overcome their fatigue, noting “in your eyes I read the flame of your furor hungaricus!”

2019-01-05(D) Tom Kearney vs Lindsey Murillo Russian winThe Soviets held on for the win despite the T-34 blowing its transmission on a start up.
2018-11-01(A) Max Malm vs Lee German / Hungarian winFirst night fighting for both players. A suboptimal use of defender HIP and an unlucky first mechanical reliability test made it an uphill fight for the Russians, who conceded second to last turn with the Germans posed to claim all but one victory conditions next to unopposed. All in all an interesting scenario, would like to try it again as defender to experience the other side of the coin.
2017-06-26(D) rene cote vs Mrosberg Russian winDown to last turn to settle the issue. Momentum shifted back and forth and choice of VC allowed for interesting fights across the map.
2016-01-19(D) Jason Wert vs Gary Trezza German / Hungarian winAwesome scenario. Ton of VC options and great night game.
2015-03-08(A) Richard Carter vs Ken Dunn German / Hungarian winNVR went to 0 by turn 3. Axis were able to maneuver around the Russians, close for HTH CC and take enough Victory locations for the win. It starts with NVR 2 so it really is designed for some close in fighting. I'd play it again.
