2022-06-18 | (D) Pascal Boileau | vs | Serge Doba | | British/American win | An excellent scenario with many possibilities. The issue of our game was decided in the last CC phase. Well played Serge ! |

2021-10-18 | (D) Eric Topp | vs | Jason Nichols | | German win | The Allies concentrated their attack in the north. They captured the stone buildings but didn't threaten the wooden buildings south of the hill. I avoided a tank battle and didn't lose any panzers. Jason exited a couple of tanks but was still short of 7 VP. |
2021-10-17 | (A) Jason Nichols | vs | Eric Topp | | German win | Duplicate to Eric's. Needed to be more aggressive with my tanks and attempt to knock out a panzer or two. |
2021-03-29 | (D) Andy Bagley | vs | Matt Ellis | | British/American win | Learning from this loss: always read and re-read the victory conditions. Resuming this scenario after a break, I forgot that it was 1 VP for every two Allied AFVs exited, with FRU! I thought it was FRD, and that's what made the difference, as the Allies exited three tanks, killed one of mine, and captured four buildings for their seven VPs. I would have held the southern cluster of buildings, but that wasn't enough, as it's really hard to avoid losing at least one German tank to the superior 75mm guns of the Allies. Didn't help that my AT Gun malf'ed on its first shot mind. Still a very enjoyable scenario. |
2021-01-09 | (A) Gerry Proudfoot | vs | Roy Johanson | | British/American win | Any scenario with the M3 medium (Lee or Grant) is worth playing and Hart Attack was no exception. I through a pincer attack at the Germans with the main weight in the south (3 of 5 tanks and all but one MG and lt mor). Unfortunately for Roy his southern defender's hearts weren't in the fight and they broke/pinned under the fusilade of tank MG and HE fire. The British collected an MMG and lt mor and pushed on towards the victory buildings.
Two of the Lee tanks were lost (one to a Ger 50* mor and the second to the AT gun but the British infantry (+ all the elites) were right behind the tanks and they carried the positions. without loss.
Up north the Germans were able to delay longer but once a Lee got safely into PB range the MGs, 37 and 75 cracked the defence with infantry close at hand, again with no losses. With 3.5 German squads dead, another 3.5 - 4 about to be mopped up and one Pz III stunned by a sniper, Roy conceded the match. |

2019-10-15 | (D) Rich Weiley | vs | Dave Wallace | | British/American win | VASL game. Needed a better setup. Got little value out of the German ATG. |
2019-05-12 | (A) Ulric Schwela | vs | Dennis Dowd | | British/American win | German surrendered after two turns as bad luck had seen German infantry swept aside on northern half, demolishing half the German infantry. The unscathed Allies had four points in the bag and at least three vehicles which could exit. One vehicle was nailed by the AT Gun, another was bogged but could be expected to free itself. |

2018-07-20 | (A) Jonathan Kapleau | vs | Palmer, Phil | | German win | |
2018-04-03 | (D) Jeff B | vs | Elmo Menon | | German win | The key in this one is to slow the British infantry advance while whittling away at their tanks. If this is successful, I find it highly unlikely the Brits will be able to make and take the southeastern compound (which is most likely where the German armor reinforcements should enter). My plan went much better than expected as my meatball throwers shocked, and eventually confirm killed, two M3s. The AT gun had knocked one out early, but then had to be manhandled into a better spot (he eventually got where he needed to be an effective deterrent). My infantry also held ground much longer than anticipated. In fact, by game end, the Germans only lost two buildings (and one of these of course was the far western one). |
2018-03-28 | (D) Richard Carter | vs | David C | | German win | I read on Gamesquad that the Germans could cover every hex with FP and that is how I set up. We then fell back. My AT gun was in the North and got 2 tanks. My Southern forces did not do well and he got close to taking the Southern compound and got 2 out of 3 of my tanks, but the early turns slowed him just enough. |
2018-03-07 | (A) X von Marwitz | vs | David Wallace | | British/American win | This scenario has some interesting things in it: A German 40LL ATG is rarely seen in ASL, 5x US Lend Lease M3 tanks are nice to play with. And the victory conditions make this scenario special. You need to figure out quite well what you are planning to achieve and how to allot your forces to it. Depending on how tanks get killed or survive, this might require an ad hoc change of plans during the game which might be difficult to pull of due to constraints of one's potential to move and reach places.
My opponent did not like the scenario for this very reason because it is very hard to forsee what to expect and the result of a particular roll or two can alter the course of what needs to be done in the game dramatically. While this might be a weakness of the scenario, it could also turn out to be a strength if objectives need to be reconsidered back and forth, creating very tense and interesting situations. A ROAR rating of 67:61 pro British and a very high exitement rating of 7.22 by 129 players seem to indicate a good scenario, though.
My general plan was to take 4 buildings, kill one German tank, drive one friendly tank off and see what to do for the last VP as the situation developed.
The Lee tanks are very powerful in this game, but it is likely that you need to exit at least some of them. When they are away (or killed), then the balance might sway to the Germans and open opportunities for counterattack endangering what the British have gained up to this point.
An interesting and somewhat unresolved issue might be, if the gun of the M3's is a Grant Gun (TK13) or a normal 75 Gun (TK14). There are some threads at GameSquadforum which are not totally conclusive but have a tendency of assuming a normal 75 Gun (TK14) here, and that is how we've played it.
Based on the defensive setup of my opponent who placed considerable forces to block the path of advance in the south, I decided to ignore the south altogether and concentrate on the north at the same time hoping that I might avoid the 40LL ATG.
I managed to break, encircle, and capture two German speed-bump 548s without their having caused any notable damage. With these neutralized, initial progress was good.
Before I could reach the nothern area of buildings, my opponent decided to cede these and fell back with everything in that area. This took me off guard, as I had anticipated a German stand there. Now I feared, that the Germans would force me to come at them which would be quite hazardous given that the German infantry also packs quite some punch.
To counter some of this, I aimed at pushing at least one M3 tank through the woods in the North for a trailbreak and possible exit route.
My opponent saw the danger and had one of his tanks enter behind the Woods in the North to cut off my M3. This created probably the key moment in our game: During his turn of entry, his Pz III (failing to get APCR) could neither kill my M3, nor could I kill him needing to realign turret and tank. However, in my upcoming next turn, I managed to immobilize his tank (TK14 did the trick...) though he did not bail out. The 37LL failed to penetrate, so I IF'ed the 75 which managed to kill his Pz III. This gained me 1VP for his eliminated tank and would almost certainly gain me a 2nd VP (FRU) for being able to exit my M3 in the next turn. Had his tank survived instead and I lost mine, the TB would not have been completed in the next turn, I would have been short a tank and be forced to drive into the teeth of his tank-gun. Chances for the outcome in my favor in this situation might have been a bit greater, but for sure it was not a clear cut thing.
This now forced the Germans to attack the British which were solidly installed in the stone buildings. As another 548 broke in the British DFPh during the approach, my opponent conceded. |

2017-06-03 | (D) Kermit Mullins | vs | Dan Best | | German win | Hard fought scenario. Americans blitzed up the middle, but ran into the German AT Gun on the back hill. Three Lee's were knocked out. British Infantry made good progress until turn 4. With the British infantry attack stalled, and the arrival of the German armor, the German defense held on for the win. |

2017-01-29 | (A) rene cote | vs | Cdoary | | German win | Played in teams as Allied. Did a north flanking move. Attack got slowed down along the wall and although the Lees took out two Panzers, we didn't sufficiently reduce the infantry to be able to take the stone village by turn 4. |
2017-01-08 | (A) Jeff B | vs | Magnus Rimvall | | British/American win | Without PFs, the Germans were much like pincushions in the early stage of this one, being VBM frozen left and right, allowing the elite Brits to close to point blank range and blast away. An optimally thrown DC and a well-placed AT gun made things interesting, taking out two M3s early, but the Brits had the stone compound in hand by Turn 2. Lack of smoke would potentially make the taking of the wooden compound more difficult, but all 3 German Panzers were blasted, and all holdout German infantry in the north removed, making it a moot point as the VP limit was met by the end of Turn 4 with no chance of German retaliation. |

2016-06-29 | (D) Michael Rodgers | vs | Bruno L'Archeveque | | British/American win | Tense game that went to the last CC. Brits had enough VP on their last turn. Germans tried to take back three different buildings, but were unsuccessful. |

2016-04-17 | (A) Gordon Jupp | vs | Derek Cox | | British/American win | A very tense, tight and enjoyable game which had lots of twists and turns as both sides could have won it right up to the last CC! Derek set the Germans up front and inflicted some losses very early with a good bore sighted MMG on the Brit right. He was very unlucky with his ATG tho a it first failed to hit one on my tanks and then rolled boxcars on the subsequent intensive fire shot! In the meantime I had broken 2 of the tanks 37mm guns but was making some progress. With the ATG gone on turn 2 i was able to roam around with the tanks and inflicted some damage on the 2 hex building K7/L7 and subsequently took all 4 buildings on my left...My right flank hook around consistently got knocked back however and on the last 2 turns I needed to find three VP - I managed to take out a Pz III with a bounding fire shot from one of the tanks and exited three more to give me the seven - Derek now needed to take back a building on his last turn. He pushed a squad forward with a DC but suffered anothe boxcars when that took a MC from the defending HMG and although the ATG crew got into CC with a squad a 9-2 leader in a building they weren't able to do anything and I didn't roll boxcars...One amusing incident was his 8-0 leader engaging a half squad prisoner guard of mine, winning and releasing the prisoners!! :) |
