Overview:
American Rangers had scaled the cliffs at Pointe-du-Hoc only to find the coastal battery guns there gone from their casemates. But once atop the cliff, there was no returning to the sea. The Rangers set up a perimeter to await their relief at the hands of the 116th Infantry. Given all that was happening around them, the Germans were slow to react and mounted their first serious push against the isolated Americans around 1600 hours. . .

2017-11-08(A) Martí Cabré vs Nicolas Sabido German winI pressed hard on the American left using the shellholes, bocage and woods to get some cover. I got some lucky rolls quickly breaking the Americans in the area. I also quickly captured the center woods to interdict the Americans from reinforcing his left flank and in Turn 4 I managed to get 10 squad equivalents near board 7, with half the American OOB dead or broken (sniper killed two leaders) and he conceded.
2017-11-05(D) Jeff B vs Phil Wentworth American winGermans suffered a lot of breaks early and, with their low ELR, were not able to bounce back. After a few turns they switched their point of attack to the thinly guarded west side. They managed to get 7 squads on or near Board 7, but there was no way they would get the 8th up safely so they conceded.
2016-12-19(A) Gordon Jupp vs Simon Church American winFun game, came down to the last turn but the US had extracted to big a toll on the Germans and I was short...
