March on Marche WTO (id:#62841)
(Dispatches from the Bunker #43 ID:DB-134)
Designer: Mike Augustine
Starter kit scenario?:    Deluxe scenario?:
In order to slow down Rommel's panzers, the French command sent its fast mixed cavalry (mechanized and horse) into Belgium. The cavalry's mission was to blow up all the bridges on the Ourthe River. This they successfully did just prior to the panzers arrival. The French then pulled back towards Marche, leaving no units to watch over the river for potential crossings. German pioneers quickly threw pontoon bridges over the river. What the French expected to take days to complete was accomplished unmolested in a handful of hours. German armored cars, tanks, and motorcyclists rushed forward across the pontoon bridges and surprised the French cavalry and infantry.

Last Played:
2017-04-21(A) Andy Beaton vs Richard Hooks German winGerman armour pretty much wiped out but French couldn't win the infantry fight, and left a backdoor for the halftrack to sneak up behind the last building and grab it before the French could respond
2017-04-08(D) Jeremy Busby vs Kevin Conley German win
2017-02-26(A) Paolo Cariolato vs In progressThe German has few possibilities against a competent french player. Fire lanes are queens against those cycles and the 25LL ROF is gonna crash German armor. BTW is fun trying, don't play it at tournament.
2016-10-08(A) Michael Rodgers vs Jonathan Kay French winThe German AC and HT must go for broke to get behind the initial French line and into the victory area; possibly even use them to sleaze the French so the sidecars can zoom up. My Germans were stopped at the middle of the board.
2016-09-28(D) nathan wegener vs Paul Works French winGreat scenario. Pulled off 5 overrun attacks including a platoon OVR in 2 separate hexes simultaneously. 60MRT went wild as well. Attack stopped short at entrance to be 2a village as the French had an iron will and Germans couldn't pass MCs.
