2019-01-04(D) Tom Kearney vs Alan Saltzman Communist Chinese winThe Chinese used HIP for two half squads to force the US in to a late turn bug hunt. The US misplayed the flame throwing tanks and their effectiveness was limited. The Chinesereinforcements arrived and managed to push the Marines back. After a Marine Leader and two squads were eliminated in CC the US player conceded.
2018-12-08(D) Michael Jaffe vs Marcus Leja American winVery slow moving for the first 4 turns until the American infantry moves in. Basically the CSVA have to withstand 4 tanks rolling though for 4 turns until they are recalled. Night rules make it challenging for both sides but the CSVA are very weakly armed and mostly have a firing range of 2 which makes most shots pretty tough to plan, even in the dark. They do get some reinforcements late, but the Marines are pretty tough to beat and have a good hold on the hill to fight off any last Chinese stands. Still very fun and went down to the last turn before the Yanks finally grabbed the last foxhole on the hill to claim victory.
