British / CanadianGerman
The Allied landings at Normandy were quickly followed by advances into the villages that lined the coast. A detachment of the 4th Brigade Commandos pushed into the sleepy village of Langrune-sur-Mer from Sword Beach and met stiff resistance from the veterans of the 21st Panzer Division. The commandos radioed for assistance from a French-Canadian unit to the west. With help on the way, the commandos pressed the attack. . .

2019-04-27(D) Jeff B vs Ben Stacey German winEvery time I play this I wonder how the Germans will be able to hold off the Allies. If it was just the British it wouldn't be so bad, but the horde of Canadians that reinforce them makes for an overwhelming numerical advantage. The name of the game on defense is deployment, fire lanes, and proper placement of the fortified buildings and HIP units. The Allies meanwhile should seriously think about playing Japanese-style, especially once the reinforcements come on board. At 8 turns you would think there's plenty of time, but you'd be amazed at how quickly that time can get eaten up. In any case, this one is always a fun play.
2018-07-28(D) Kermit Mullins vs Craig Walters German winRound 4 Game at STL ASL Tournament.
2018-03-23(D) Juan Garrido vs Jorbetbal British / Canadian winBritish start was not good, but they pressed on relentlessly to achieve a final win in last turn, when the last German defenders collapsed just in time.
2017-06-11(D) Dan Best vs James Treu British / Canadian winBrits waited for reinforcements tied all troops up in close combat and found the other fortified buildings.
