German (SS)Russian
The II SS Panzer Corps had made good progress into the heart of the 6th Guards Army defenses. General Vatutin ordered the 5th Guards Tank Corp to prepare to meet this threat. The Russian “counterattack” was not successful in blocking the Germans, but prevented them from exploiting the penetration. The 51st Guards Rifle Division suffered heavily, and was forced into defensive positions around Bolshoi-Majatschki and Iakovlevo. The 1st Battalion, SS Panzergrenadier Regiment 1 was ordered to attack to the west to seize the two towns.

2016-04-03(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Massimiliano Colosimo German (SS) winBy the beginning of the last turn my russians were not in bad shape, a couple of melee were holding 2 and 1/2 german squads and the german was left with 3 out of positions squad of SS troopers to eradicate 3 russian squads, Unfortunately for my counters his MMC were able to pass multiple negative modifier fires and getting adjacent (not ADJACENT) to my cardboard heros and breaking all of them (2 were elite) in the advancing fire phase with puny 6+2 fires. It happens, but I think the russian need to be helped by lady luck in order to bring home this one. that is unbalanced in favor of GErman side.
2015-11-22(D) mark watson vs Christopher Jepson Russian winGermans need to use smoke, move in fast, and CC the Russians to death. A valid Russian tactic might be to hide the AT and try and deny the win that way.
2015-10-06(D) Michael Rodgers vs Jim Burris German (SS) winI gave this game away by making two mistakes. I left out of my OB by accident two 127 crews that could have manned light mortars from a distance and I set up my ATG where a German HS could find it on the first turn. After three turns, most of the town had fallen to the Germans and I had not a whole lot of troops left, so I conceded.
2013-05-13(D) Kevin Killeen vs Chris Doary German (SS) winCouldn't stop the German steamroller.
2013-04-30(A) Andy Beaton vs Jeff Wasserman German (SS) winCame close to losing on CVP, but good luck on CC made up for a few clumsy mistakes.
2013-03-08(A) David Ramsey vs Craig Benn Russian winLost the Stug against a mortar shot and took too risks with the squads. Created a 8-1 leader with a close combat roll who promptly lost me the game when the sniper whacked him for the CVP.
2013-02-10(D) Steffen Knippel vs Eldon Hemminger Russian win
2012-05-13(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Federico Corso Russian winMy secondo game resulted in a even more balanced match. I reccomand this one for tournment play.
