Overview:

The 116th Infantry Regiment had cleared Siersdorf and had pushed northeast into the Dürboslar suburbs. Company F, 2nd Battalion established a toehold on the west side of town, while the German 246th Volksgrenadier Division stubbornly held on. The volksgrenadiers showed enthusiasm for a counterattack on F Company and along some infantry, committed several Hetzer tank destroyers to the effort. Firing wildly, the Hetzers drove into the heart of Dürboslar and 2nd Battalion's defensive positions.
Attacker: German (Elements of Grenadier Regiment 404 and Panzerjäger Bataillon 246, Volksgrenadier Division 246)

2022-02-26(A) Jonathan Plott vs Gabe American win

(VASL Log)
Gabe (American Defender) and Jon (attacking German) played RPT17 Hetzer Hunters over the past week, and the Yanks won a solid victory. My attack was heavy on the West edge of the map, and I tried to work two of my Hetzers in behind the Yanks main line of resistance and create a bit of uncertainty. The opening turns weren't decisive for either side, but an amazing American Rally Phase in turn 3 and some less than stellar DRs (and bad German tactical choices) closed the door on any chance of a German victory. Very well played, Gabe! Congratulations!
2020-11-28(D) Dave Mareske vs Craig Renier American winTough fight for the Americans. The US Tank, before it was destroyed, was able to immobilize one of the Hetzers and scored a CH with BZK on one of the others, which limited the mobility of the German armored assault. A mad dash across the road on the last turn proved not enough for the German infantry and they came up one building short.
2020-11-28(A) Craig Renier vs Dave Mareske American winThe German assault entered from the East and was immediately slowed. A squad with MMG and leader broke on Turn 1 and did not rally for 3 turns, only returning to the fight ELR'd and CR'd. The weak initial deployment began to make some headway in the center, but the American redeployment prevented the German from exploiting the minor gains. With a final dash across the road and up the hill on the final turn, the German player could only muster enough strength and came up one building short.
2020-10-30(A) O Ramaille vs Loïc Gourdon German winThe Hetzers charged with success the Americans troops in buildings with the assault infantry closing just behind. A M4A1 tried to prevent the German advance but was surrounded and destroyed by the Hetzers. The Americans retreated under heavy and precision fire from the German MGs. A flanking group of Germans already held the Eastern hill. With too much broken squads and and only one quite surrounded US squad, the American resigned. A brutal victory for the Germans.
