Overview:

It was at the flanks of the 34th Guards Regiment where the Germans directed particularly heavy attacks. One thrust penetrated the Dolgyi Gully and came out in the rear along the riverbank. Another ttack broke through along Tambovskaya Street, reaching Naberezhnaya Street near the bank of the Volga. The two attacks posed a dire threat, as there was a dangerous possibility that the 34th Guards Regiment would be cut off from its neighbors and isolated.
Attacker: Russian (Infanterie Regiment 518, Infanterie Division 295)
Defender: German (3rd Battalion, 42nd Guards Regiment, 13th Guards Rifle Division / 3rd Battalion, 39th Guards Regiment, 13th Guards Rifle Division)

2018-04-24(D) JP Laurio vs Ron Russian win
2016-03-16(D) rene cote vs Mrosberg Russian winMy first VotG scenario. Went early for the wooden house on the waterfront and managed to worry him sufficiently on that front but eventually got overwhelmed in the other areas, stuck against board edge with nowhere to go.
2015-01-12(D) Andy Beaton vs Will Willow Russian winQuick, dicey fun. Just couldn't rally enough broken Germans to hold on to a very tightly restricted zone
2015-01-12(A) Will Willow vs A. Beaton Russian winVASL
2013-03-23(A) Richard Carter vs Stephen M Russian winWe both had a lot of fun w/ this one. Lots of maneuvering for position. Seems a bit more balanced to me than ROAR indicates. I wonder if the sudden death VC for the Germans is what makes it lopsided. I took areas A and B for the win. The last 2 turns came down to fighting over R0 in area B.
