Overview:
As part of the effort to seize Madrid, Franco aimed to cut off the municipal water supply and electricity by blocking the Corunna Road, the capital city's primary lifeline to the north. With this aim in mind, the Nationalists assembled 17,000 men, backed by 4 mobile brigades, batteries of 155mm howitzers and air support in the form of Ju-52 bombers. The first objective was the village of Boadilla del Monte, which the Nationalists pummeled with heavy artillery and air strikes prior to the assault.Attacker: Nationalists (Legión Española with Armored Reinforcements)
