2024-04-27 | (D) Neal Ulen | vs | Scott | | German win | The Hussars took it soundly on the chin. I spread my Germans nearly equally across the board to try and prevent any flanking moves. Scott had most of units enter on the north and south sides, with those entering in the middle splitting off to the north and south to make two large flanking groups. By the end of turn 1, after the Germans had a full round of def fire and then prep fire, half the Brit tanks were already scrap. Scott later got a CH on one of my German panzers, and I eventually lost two more, but by that time Scott had an immobilization, shock, malf'd then recalled AFV, plus lost a few more to another German DFPh. A couple of my 50mm tanks went on 4 ROF tears. It was pretty ugly. I've read that this scenario can end very quickly, that was the case here. |
2024-02-28 | (D) Peyton Spreacker | vs | Brandon Dega | | British win | This was definitely a fun one! A quick one, but a fun one. The Germans set up two mixed AFV groups close to the center of the set up area and the British broke into three even attack groups. The British were able to move around the late afternoon sun blindness to land some excellent shots on the German AFVs. One German AFV attack group had two MA malf (the PzIV with a 8-1 leader a Pz III) in the same defensive fire turn. This coupled with some poor use of motion on the other side of the board led a game that was trading fairly evenly at the start into a very quick surround of the Germans by the British AFVs and 40 DVPs earned at turn 2. Brandon was rolling lights out and I was honestly rolling terribly. This is definitely a good scenario if you just love AFVs! |

2023-06-04 | (D) Don Nordloff | vs | Don Petros | | British win | Started out as a long rang duel. Then after the field was thinned on both sides we ended up swirling around, four of the remaining six tanks has malfed MA. German lost a certain victory earlier by rolling a dud on a side shot. Mark IV with HEAT was a highlight. Good introductory scenario for DTO |
2023-03-25 | (D) Nate Gregg | vs | Chris Gregg | | British win | I intensive fired too much too early. |
2023-03-19 | (A) Jonathan Plott | vs | Steve B | | Draw
2022-07-26 | (D) Stephen dedier | vs | Jim Holt | | German win | British pushed hard on the German right flank with units that entered on that board and other units moving down the edge of the bord toward the flank or pulling in and stopping for shots.
German managed on only shock 1 tank in the British 1 but knocked out 3 Honey's in German 1.
Start of British 2 saw them take out 2 PzIII including the 9-1 leader in prep and then Jim gambled that he could swarm the Germans and take out 2-3 more tanks.
British took out 1 PzIV but the Germans went on a run of 5's and using intensive fire managed to take out 5 Honey's and shock a 6th in the swarm while losing another tank.
Opening of German 2 saw the stunned Honey go to UK and then the Germans killed it in Prep to reach needed victory points
The German dice got very hot to get the quick victory but the lure of the quick win for the British pushed Jim to risk it all in the turn.
Fun scenario with a number of play options. |

2020-12-02 | (A) rene cote | vs | mrosberg | | German win | Played this 3 times in a row trying different approach with British. All three times ended in almost total annihilation of British force by end of turn 2( trying to make it behind the Germans). With red to hit and sun blindness, the Brits have a tough go. |

2018-11-17 | (D) Jonathan Kapleau | vs | Duenskie, Ron | | British win
2017-12-30 | (D) David Garvin | vs | John Stadick | | British win | I malf'd a total of 4 AFV main guns in this one after I started out hot, eliminating 3 of his Stuarts and immobilizing another. He went for an ESB and of course stopped his tank. Victory was mine! Then my guns all jammed. Ha!
But John was skilful and got in behind those tanks (which I had put into motion in order to keep them alive long enough to fix their guns, or so I hoped) and of course the sun blinded me. My last survivor was the 9-1 AFV leader who went down in a blaze of glory. Great game by John! |
2017-12-27 | (A) David Garvin | vs | Ian Tuten | | British win | Given the sun blindness, I went for both flanks. Initial gunnery by the Germans was both accurate and deadly. I tossed some SD to try to obscure his shots and that combined with my burning Stuarts was enough to keep me alive.
In his subsequent volley, I was able to survive with enough tanks to press the attack and ended up starting to take a toll on his armor.
In the end, I was able to push through and get the Casualty DVPs by turn 3 to secure the victory. |
2017-10-30 | (D) Dwayne Duval | vs | Kevin Duval | | British win
2017-10-30 | (A) Kevin Duval | vs | Dwayne Duval | | British win | Used British balance. |
2017-10-07 | (A) Dan Best | vs | Kermit Mullins | | British win
2017-10-07 | (D) Kermit Mullins | vs | Dan Best | | British win | Nice change of pace scenario with just tanks in a straight up gunfight. Dan's Stuarts came hard in a schwerpunkt towards the German left. The Germans were strung out in a long line across the map. Initially, my Germans took the early lead by taking out 5 of the Stuarts, but once the Stuarts got in close, it was curtains for the Afrika Korps. Great win for Dan! |
2017-05-16 | (D) Bill Brodie | vs | Steve Bond | | German win | British drove into a hail of accurate fire. While he did bounce back and take out a few panzers, the initial losses made it impossible for him to win the gun battle. |
2016-09-19 | (A) Paolo Cariolato | vs | Sebastiano Caltabiano | | German win | As I suspected the scenario is a dicey affair weighted towards the German (55-60% I think).
As British I was able to hit a single german AFV once in two turns despite point blank fire and didn't do any harm. In response I got 8 stuarts destroyed by 3 snakes, and 8 other hit (yes there there were 1 miss, 2 shocks and 8 killed AFV).
In 1 and half turn it was all over. Won't play it again, it's far worse than I expected. |
2016-08-08 | (A) Jeff Hew | vs | Jon Halfin | | British win
2015-11-19 | (A) Richard Carter | vs | Bob Devereaux | | German win | I was able to get behind the German line but it was not enough. We lost 11/12 stuarts before we realized the German's had past the automatic victory part. |
2015-10-10 | (D) Will Willow | vs | J. Shields | | British win | ASLOK |
2015-08-18 | (A) Seumas Hoskins | vs | | | British win
2014-01-04 | (A) Martí Cabré | vs | Eloi Soler | | British win | The Sun blindness offsets your Stuarts so first thing to do is put your back on the Sun. I divided the Stuarts in three groups: one in the center prep firing to keep the Germans busy and one in each wing to try a double envelopment. My right wing was totally destroyed in the first shots, as well as some of my center. But my left managed to place south of the Germans and started pounding them. Also, some Germans moved forward to offset the short barrels and they also were wrecked. Automatic British victory with enough DCVP. |

2011-11-18 | (D) Paul Jones | vs | Eremite | | German win | Panzers simply blew the Stuarts away as they approached through the desert. |
2011-03-05 | (D) Shane Pask | vs | | | German win | Easy German win even with me forgetting the late sun penalty on the poms. |
2010-06-18 | (A) nathan wegener | vs | Peter W | | German win | Opponent rolled ROF more often than not. Didn't survive past turn 3. |
2009-07-11 | (A) Jonathan Davis | vs | Chuck Payne | | German win | On turn one, in 12 rolls, only one tank could find their sD to shoot. That spelled doom as his DFPh took out 3 tanks and his PFPh took out 4 more. |
