Overview:

Three days after the enemy counterattack and bloody American advance to Dufayel, the 115th Infantry Regiment had been rejuvenated with an influx of replacements. That "black but victorious 11th of July" was forgotten; in spite of having so many untried replacements, the regiment was ordered to push on the next morning. In position by 0330, the officers faced a 1300-yard front, divided by a deep ravine with water in the bottom. The German troopers across the ravine were firmly entrenched in woods and supported by 20mm FlaK guns. At dawn, the order came for the 115th to get moving.
Attacker: American (115th Infantry Regiment and 747th Tank Battalion, 29th Infantry Division)
Defender: German (Grenadier Regiment 985, 275th Infantry Division)

2017-04-17(A) Ruben Rigillo vs Francesco Berucci American win
2016-12-11(A) Michael Dorosh vs Colin Emerson German winFirst try at playing bocage. My Americans started slow, then fought forward aided by a Critical Hit on the large objective building. Came down to the last CCPh where a single 2nd Line US Squad faced off against a Pinned 7-0 and a Berserk 4-4-7. The Germans locked the American squad in Melee inside the final Objective building and secured the win.
2016-12-11(D) Colin Emerson vs Michael Dorosh German winA German win, but a real steam roller job by the Americans. Bocage and the sunken lane ended up being a great ally. Once the Panzer Fausts got rolling they made short order of the Shermans. Americans utilized big FP stacks.
At game end there was 1 Berserk squad and 1 pinned leader(plus 3-4 broken squads) VS a much larger force...I'm guessing 18 squads. The end was very near.....saved by the Bell...
Enjoyed learning the bocage rules
2013-05-16(D) Jonathan Davis vs Voss Graham American win
2012-10-01(D) Fred Ingram vs Stan Jackson American winEnjoyable. But I do not think the bocage rewrite is compatible with the deluxe "rule" about units only having wall advantage on one hex side. I could not get the hang of how to plan for which hex side to take if there was only one unit in a hex.

12/31/2012: Edit - we played the deluxe bocage rule wrong. You can actually have wall advantage over more than one hex side. The rule actually says that you gain or lose wall advantage on a per hex side basis
