Overview:

Operation Cobra was in full swing as elements of Combat Command A of the 2nd Armored Division approached its objective of Tessy-Sur-Vir along the narrow, hedgerow-lined roads of the Cotentin Peninsula. As the 66th Armored Regiment's 3rd Battalion moved along a secondary road, it encountered three Panther tanks firmly astride a junction and blocking any further progress. This armored roadblock would have to be removed before the American column could resume its advance.
Attacker: American (Company H, 66th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Division)
Defender: German (2nd Panzer Division)
