Overview:

Hypothetical scenario -- As Operation Sea Lion unfolded smoothly, the Germans struck at Folkestone, keen to seize a harbour where heavy equipment and armour could be put ashore. Unable to create a serious counter attack against the parachute and mountain division troops who were supported by frequent Stuka and fighter strikes, the British defence was left to those who were on the ground in the area – various mixtures of Army units, sailors, marines and LDV units. In Folkestone, bitter street fighting raged through the hotels, town centre and port area, where each inch of ground was bitterly contested, especially by units of dockers fighting on their home ground.
Attacker: German (Elements of the 3rd Fallschirmjaeger Division)
Defender: British (Mixed elements of British Army, sailors and dockers)
