Overview:
The 3rd Armored Division "'Spearhead" crossed the Rhine below Cologne and ripped through the German countryside like a Kansas tornado. Fighting their way through village after village, the division covered nearly 45 miles in 48 hours, capturing thousands of bewildered German prisoners. On 29 March, they received orders to take aim at Paderborn, a vital town astride several road junctions. The large town was key to encircling German Army Group B, trapped in the Ruhr Pocket to the north. Recon units fanned out along every road to Paderbom, looking for a weak spot where the tip of the spear could land.Attacker: American (83rd Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Armored Division)
Defender: German (SS) (SS-Aufklärungs-Ausbildungs und Ersatz-Regiment)

| 2026-10-08 | (D) nathan wegener | vs | Andrea Pagni | German (SS) win | Defense in Depth aided by Americans lack of carrying much smoke allowed me to delay and fall back just enough. The Puma's all died defending their streets and mostly just helped delay the Americans. In the last turn I still had 5 locations, my opponent had troops in place and enough armor to assist but my troops didn't break so there were just too many CC to win for 4 US squads. ASLOK XL | ||
| 2026-10-06 | (A) walter mcwilliams | vs | Nelson Harris | German (SS) win | Nelson and I had a ton of fun playing this. It came down to the wire with the US need to win multiple CC at game end. I didn't make it but it was fun trying. | ||
