Overview:

Much to the dismay of the Italians, on the afternoon of September 8, 1943, General Eisenhower made public the armistice between the Allies and the Italian government. The Italians had been playing a dangerous balancing act between the Germans and Allies, trying to get out of the war without negative consequences. That evening, the Germans put into play “Operation Flohzirkus (Flea Circus),” sending the 2nd Fallschirmjäger Division north from its base towards Rome. The Axis was broken forever when the Germans met the first Italian outposts at the town of Mezzocamino, southwest of Rome.
Attacker: German (6th Regiment, 2nd Fallschirmjäger Division)
Defender: Italian (Chemical Mortar Battalion, Granatieri di Sardegna Division/III Battalion, 1st Regiment, Granatieri di Sardegna Division and police cadets, Polizia dell' Africa Italiana)

2013-11-22(D) Alessandro Demichelis vs Victor Rosso Italian winItalians, as always, are not easy to play and they have to do a very good setup because German 8 morale squads are hard to stop. Moreover also the Italian reinforcememts need to rush in the VCs factory.
Very interesting scenario.
2012-09-21(A) Andy Beaton vs Tom West German winCame down to the last possible shot in turn 6 defensive fire to break the last Italian unit. The game is also notable for the murder of a 10-2 heroic leader by escaped Italian prisoners. Great fun.
2008-12-06(D) Rich Weiley vs Paul Seage Italian winPaddington Bearz - December 2008.
