Overview:
The Japanese seized the initiative in the Burma Theater and launched Operation U-Go in March 1944. The purpose of this offensive was to occupy Imphal, where a British supply dump existed, and to prevent the expected British offensive into Burma. The Japanese 14th Tank Regiment supported the offensive. Japanese forces did advance very quickly early on, but soon ran into forces equipped with armor superior to their own.Attacker: Japanese (Reinforced 14th Tank Regiment)
