Overview:

The battle for Kursk had begun. After breaching the first line of defense, the 86. Infanterie-Division supported by the gigantic Ferdinand tank destroyers of schwere Panzer-Abteilung 654 continued toward the Russians' second defensive belt. But the Russian 27th Guards Tank Regiment supported by engineers was about to mount a counter-attack. The Germans would pay in blood for every inch gained of Russian soil.- - - - In the mid-sized 5.5-turn "Elephants Unleashed", a German combined arms force fight their way through minefields, wire, Russian infantry and counterattacking T-34s. Find out for yourself if the lack of a bow machine gun was really the Ferdinand's Archilles' Heel.

2020-02-26(A) Pascal Boileau vs Bruno Bonhomme German winA very good scenario against a very nice opponent. All german tanks were destroyed by the Russians at the end of turn 4. At this time, I was ready to concede the victory to my opponent and he told me "In ASL, you'll never know what happens next, keep going". He was right and in the last turn, the Russians failed to take back one building and the german rushed for the missing building to complete the victory conditions. A truly amazing game and many thanks to my opponent for his precious advices during the whole game.

2018-10-27(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best Russian winFun scenario...but definitely full of tough tactical choices. I set up to stop a board exit, before realizing that I needed to hold the buildings too. So I was fortunate to hold the final three buildings and managed to win the tank duels against all odds. Dan's boys put the hurt on me, but in the end luck was on my side. Good hard ASL.
