Overview:
As the last German gliders had landed on the Vermezo on 5 February, the availability of ammunition and fuel for Axis units had become severely limited. Conversely, Soviet units were extremely well supplied, to the extent that the Russians had begun painting the phrase "Don;t Economize" on the sides of their ammunition crates. Additionally, given the impending "liberation" of Budapest, certain elements of the Hungarian army had begun defecting to the Soviets and were now fighting alongside their new comrades as the Buda Volunteer Regiment.Attacker: Russian (297th Rifle Division and 3rd Tank Brigade, 23rd Tank Corps and Buda Volunteer Regiment)
