Overview:

Over 1500 American, M3 General Stuart light tanks were delivered to Russia as part of the Lend-Lease programme. The Russian crews disliked the Stuart, considering it under gunned, under armoured, likely to catch fire, and too sensitive to fuel quality; however, the Stuart was still superior to early-war Russian light tanks. In the early morning hours of 4 February, Soviet seaborne forces landed on the peninsula along the west side of the Ozerekya Bay. The Soviet forces were led by tank spearheads of the American built Stuart tanks of the 563rd Tank Brigade, but lacking communication equipment with Black Sea Fleet and a clear understanding of the Axis disposition rolled blindly into the Axis anti-tank screen.

2025-09-07(D) Kermit Mullins vs Dan Best Russian win1 hrsMy dice have been pretty awful the last three games and did my no favors in this one. Dan sent three Stuarts at my 8-1/LMG group. They would snake a close combat attack and get my only knocked out tank of the scenario. My guns either missed, MALF'd or failed to penetrate. I did immobilize one Stuart. On Turn 2, the Stuarts made a run for the exit. My ATR took a rear shot and missed and that was game. This scenario depends on the Romanian Player to roll well and get Rate of Fire...it he doesn't...he loses...strategy plays no part in this one.

2020-06-06(A) O Ramaille vs Russian winThe five Stuart rushed at full speed towards the North. The first two moved through the road and triggered the fire from the two hidden AT guns. The shells were ineffective on the first tank but set the second one ablaze. Two other tanks moved at full speed towards the exit in full view of the AT guns. Despite retaining ROF, the guns either missed or the shells failed to drill trough the armour. The MG fire was also ineffective. The last tank rushed across the vineyard avoiding bog and surviving some ATR shots from a hidden unit and exited through the woods. With 4 Stuarts exited in turn 2, the Russians got an easy victory.
