Overview:
In the early morning hours, Soviet seaborne forces landed on the peninsula along the west side of the Ozerekya Bay. These forces were led by tank spearheads and quickly advanced towards Glebovka, where they came across a Romanian Mortar position set up in the vineyard of an old manor. As soon as the Romanians caught sight of the tanks, they abandoned both the wine cellar and their mortars. If the Russian commander had a larger force with him, Glebovka would have fallen to him; however, all he had was a platoon of tanks and a company of infantry. When Major Lahmeyer, commanding officer of the German Army Coastal Artillery Battalion 789, received news of the breakthrough, he immediately launched his 2nd Troop, supported by the battalion's machine-guns; however, the Russians were ready for them and pasted the counter-attacking Germans with their captured Romanian mortars. Major Lahmeyer thereupon got his 1st Troop to bombard the manor, and the vineyard, as the Romanian Captain Dabiji Nicolai with his 5th Company, then charged, and dislodged the Russians in fierce hand-to-hand fighting.Attacker: Romanian (Kompanie 5, 10th Infantry Division)

2025-09-04 | (A) Kermit Mullins | vs | Dan Best | Romanian win | 1.5 hrs | The Romanians successfully crossed the bridge as the Russians malf'd the first mortar shot. By turn 4 all of the mortars were malf'd and the Romanians were surging into the village. The Romanian mortar cleared the stone building with a CRIT hit. My boys took prisoners until the final turn and then went no quarter and hand to hand in the final CC for the win.
2023-01-12 | (D) Stephen Stewart | vs | Kevin H | Russian win (VASL Log) | Short 2 hour scenario. You only have a couple of units as the Russians so the tempo is dictated by the Romanians. Honestly think going HEAVY through the forest wins the game. IT gets closer to the Russians and doesn't really allow the Russians to run away. That being said...Good progress initially for Romanians...Mortars by Russian need 3 TH so you can't depend on those...or 5 in OG.. but you'd likely be subject to a FG from the Romanians on T1. Hip units surprised his Forest attackers and blasted his stack. Zerkies near game end, I just ran from them... Lucky DM Rally in the vineyard allowed a maneuver behind the Romanians to win the game using covering fire. Doesn't need to be BIG to be fun.
2022-07-01 | (A) Jonathan Townsend | vs | Romanian win | Solo game. I enjoy playing these scenarios to get a feel for what the Campaign may involve later on, ie. portions and stages of it.
2021-03-17 | (D) Richard Dagnall | vs | Toby Pilling | Russian win | The Romanians have a lot to do in this one in a short amount of time. Essentially I won as not all my hip units were fond in time nice short scenario easily done in 2 hours |
