2025-02-17(A) Andy Bagley vs Neil Brunger American win3.63 hrsVery close and exciting game, decided on the last turn. Things started badly for me as the Americans; I correctly guessed where his HIP StuGIII was and took steps to avoid it by taking the northern route under cover of smoke mortars, but it smashed my kill stack in the lone building in my setup area. And the HS that I positioned to kill it failed with many bazooka shots, until the StuGIII finally malf'ed its MA trying intensive fire.
Even so, I made good progress in the north, including successfully driving a tank through the woods, and the American firepower finally began to tell. Just made it to clear the remaining German units with a LOS to hex O5 on the last CC phase. Good fun!
2025-01-31(D) David Garvin vs Chip Wertenberger American winAs part of FNF. Germans got a quick start to the CVP (cap of 20), but they only made it to 15. A great Advancing Fire shot took out my MMG nest, cementing the win for the US. Great fun with plenty of ASL-drama
2025-01-31(D) Peter Palmer vs Peter Catchpole American winFNF game 3 for 2025 - just couldn't make effective attacks - I also set up the immobilised StuG in a location that was only useful in the early game. The fact that I did nothing with a 2-2 vs his 9-2 and 3 squads moving in the open as well as complete miss on 5 hex shot vs a Sherman - needed a 9 rolled a 10. Well lets just say my setup was flawed, my dice were cold and my 8ML guys boxcarred almost immediately. Ugly game for me but a great opponent. I like the scenario but the US FP just wipes away the German units too fast.

2022-07-21(D) Jeff B vs Magnus Rimvall American win3.75 hrsAmericans dropped some WP from a BAZ to kick things off (a tactic I never would've thought of) and make their northern approach to the village safe. With the placement however a lucky sniper took out their 9-1. Turn 2 saw the Americans narrow down my possible StuG placement to two hexes so, with the cover about to be blown, I blasted an American squad point blank, making it a broken HS. But this allowed one of the M4s the chance to park outside my CA and begin its assault on me. That lasted until my prep fire, when I was taken out despite placing a smoke screen in front of me. With really nothing now to stop the American crush forward it was even more vital that I just try and cling to concealment as long as possible. A HoB rally on an interdiction MC on my 548/MMG left me with a fanatic squad and newly generated hero, But with nowhere to hide I took my chances on a 8+1 at his monster kill stack, flubbing it badly, only to be decimated in DFPh. Another sniper hit took out his 8-0, but it was way too late at this point to matter. In the end my upper-level encircled conscript squad, whom I thought for sure would fall, wasn't enough to grant me a win when I missed an ambush withdrawal by one pip with a HS who would've been enough. We had forgotten about American ammo shortage until way too late in the game, which was unfortunate because I think it may have been material to the outcome. All-in-all this was as boring and hopeless of a defense as I had feared. Yuck.

2020-06-17(A) Dave Mareske vs Paul Works German winSmall and dicey. Paul set the HIP AFV where I did not expect it. My Americans got no smoke on the first turn and moving around proved deadly. Both tanks were lost on close TK numbers...could have gone the other way with better dice and an better plan of attack. At least it was over quick.
2018-02-17(D) Michael Focht vs Cliff Welsh German win
2016-10-12(A) nathan wegener vs Paul Works German winsmall and dicey - took the worst of it in the German first turn. Lost about 1/2 my force with a KIA on my 9-2 stack and 2 other squads broke.
