On the evening of 25 April, General Chuikov's scouts discovered units of General Konev's front in the suburbs of Berlin. The glory of capturing the Reichstag had been promised to Chuikov's commander, Marshal Zhukov. Zhukov ordered Chuikov to cross Konev's front line to start the race to the prize. Meanwhile, the Germans tried to patch together a defense comprised of stragglers, fanatics, and the Berlin air defense.

Russians got bogged down in a viscous fight in the center which eventually destroyed the German units but then it was too late to exit the needed VP.

German win
Germans deployed 88mm on right with 1 on left, trenches were used to give an HMG a fire lane down centre road and allow fallback movement from right to centre buildings. RB were on the left, 2 forts were dropped to give 2 tunnels 1 in each 5vp building back to the 15vp building.
Initial Russian turns saw smoke cover the advance and not a lot of casualties, but turns 2 to 3 saw the panther take out an ISU, an 88mm immobilised the IS3 taking it out of game and the hitler youth eventually grabbed another 2 Russian tanks with fausts… the Russians drove into the fortified Reichstag but the germans had fallen back in numbers and a fusillade of fausts created more burning wrecks. Russians were tempted many times to keep shooting with the 122mm guns when its possible the scenario needed more forward movement... but cant blame anyone wanting to shoot infantry with a 122mm!
Russians got 10vp in the end with no unit within 2 moves of the table edge at turn 7... .looks a tough one for Russians.

Russian win
Germans bombardment in centre took out a 122 a leader and 2 mmc, but Russian fire in first 2 turns cleared the germans on east flank, infantry rushed the now isolated guns and took them out in melee, things looked good...
That was until the German main line opended up and several tanks were destroyed by fausts and 88mm, a lucky wire clearance on a bog test opened the east road up as the Russians piled in forced from the east to the main VP building in the centre.
The attacked was beatn off and it was clear the main 15vp building was not going to be taken, so with 2 turns to go the Russians switched plans and instead doubled 3mmc stacks with leach leader went open topped with the tanks and ran for the table edge...
some sneaky germans routed into the centre 5vp building and in the end the Russians won it by 1vp, just a 5vp building and the rest in 3 tanks, loads fo mmc and all the big name leaders!
Even got the fire the rear MG from an IS onto a german squad running at its rear... snake eyes!

German win
Russians went for a two-pronged rush to exit units. Too many AFV's lost to get enough points, and western push stifled by machineguns in open ground. The German bonus of careless Russian air power was not much of a factor.
