2024-11-04(D) Jobbo Fett vs JobboFett German (SS) winA strong start from the Poles, eliminating an Armored Car and breaking several units, saw the steam run out as the Germans started to gain ground. By the time they started inflicting casualties, the dice turned on the defenders and it soon became a slaughter where nobody could rout and No Quarter was in effect.

I liked this one, though it feels like the Polish balance should be an extra squad or perhaps an LMG rather than a 1-2-7 and some extra concealment counters. Once the ? counters dry up, there's really not much to hold back the SS. Regardless, worth a play.
2024-06-05(D) John Garlic vs Jeremy Busby German (SS) win
2021-02-28(D) Will Willow vs K. Mioduski German (SS) winPoles passed a lot of morale checks and took out two armored cars while the the third one bogged in a semi useful spot. Ended up being a CC fest and it was over in German five. Poles need the balance.
2020-09-18(A) Richard Jenulis vs Greg Rodgers Polish winVASL: The Germans made good progress with a heavy right wing attack. The armored cars were able to get behind the Polish lines to cut off retreats and encircle. By turn three it looked like an early German victory. But the stubborn Poles refused to break after several turns of high FP attacks against encircled defenders. Instead, the SS started to break en mass. The Last turn came down to 3 CC. The Germans needed to win 2 and not loose the third, but failed in the end. Highlights for the Germans was the creation of two 8-0 leaders. This is a fun scenario.
2020-05-17(D) Dave Mareske vs Dan Best Polish winAnother great nail biter game with Dan Best. Came down to the last German movement phase where they need to cross the street and get into a building, but they were gunned down by a pinned squad. The Poles set up heavy in the woods and that is were the Germans moved against. This is a great game to teach the skulking action by the defender. We had lots of Melees that seemed to drag on through game with the Germans winning most of them...just too late. One AC was immobilized early by a mortar and another MALFed its MA late in the game.
2020-05-17(A) Dan Best vs Dave Mareske Polish win
2019-03-10(A) Tom Kearney vs Walt McWilliams Polish winThe Poles had the balance due to the ROAR showing a strong German advantage. The Poles managed to prevail with the scenario going down to the final CC phase.
2019-03-10(D) walter mcwilliams vs Tom Kearney Polish winI am surprised the balance, or at least the crew, isn't part of the scenario proper. I chose to give the crew the ATR and HIP him on my right rear flank. It's a no brainer the Germans are going to try and get a a least one AC in the polish backfield and that will unravel this scenario quickly. The extra ? counters did create a lot of fog-of-war which slowed Tom's attack a bit. Overall I'm just happy to finally get a win against Tom. Next week is the Devil's Armpit, so I am certain I don't have long to savor it.

2018-11-11(D) Jeff B vs Alan Krause Polish win3.75 hrsI was a bit hesitant to play this for the CyberVASL IX semifinals when I saw the ROAR record at 2-16 Poles, but when I looked at the card and setup I thought the Poles had a much closer to 50/50 chance. My opponent made a strong eastern push, sleaze freezing my flank to clear a path for his double-timing infantry. The last VBM cost him a burning AC however when he froze my 10-1 and a squad. In return it cost me my MMG when I had to break the squad and rout so they wouldn't get decimated in CC. I was really hoping this fire would spread to the woods quickly to make hell on his rout paths, but it didn't kick in until late in the game and was a nonfactor. I made what could have been a game-costing error during my Turn 1 moves by not retreating far enough, allowing him to assault move some units concealed adjacent to most of my line, forcing me again to break and run. This ended up costing me my HMG. The press was on and I was not feeling good. Thankfully my broken 7-0 blocked the way and cost him a much-needed turn, allowing me to regroup. Meanwhile in the east he had a disastrous turn. Two squads and a leader broke while being a bit too aggressive and were all eliminated by NQ. This was almost certainly the turning point. The next turn was my turn to lose two squads and a leader (10-1), but I managed to shock one AC with the ATR and stun the other with small arms. The shock would eventually turn into a CK, while the stunned AC was easy pickings in CC. He was running low on bodies, and needed to not only gain five more buildings, but protect the ones he had. An attempt to grab two easy ones was rebuffed by my two HIP HS, while his last desperate push across the street met with doom. This was a nail biter from start to finish without a letup. Fun scenario and great opponent.
2018-09-27(D) Martí Cabré vs Francisco Belmonte German (SS) winThis is a tough one on the Poles. The Germans can use their armored cars to VBM freeze the Polish infantry, which lacks decent AT weapons. Even so I managed to stun two of his vehicles with MG fire but some lucky shots destroyed the Polish first line, on the woods. Then a general assault of German infantry took the first buildings and finally aggressive play of the AC took the last Polish locations.
2018-01-30(A) patrick palma vs Miguel Molina German (SS) win
2017-12-28(A) Jason Wert vs Gabe Wert German (SS) winPretty tough on the Poles. Fun but Germans are very powerful with VBM to get close.
