Overview:

On the third day of the battle for the road between Goch and Calcar, the 4th Canadian Infantry Brigade was still stuck in front of their objectives. Situated on the right flank the Riley’s (Royal Hamilton Light Infantry) were preparing to meet another armoured assault on their exposed positions.
