Overview:

With the capital of the Third Reich now in sight, Stalin pitted his two best generals in a race against each other, and as a result the armies of Georgi Zhukov’s 1st Belorussian Front and Ivan Konev’s 1st Ukrainian Front were each vying to be the first to capture Berlin. Approaching Berlin from the south and constantly spurred on by Stalin’s threats, Konev unleashed his two tank armies, the 3rd Guards and 4th Guards. The 3rd Guards Tank Army aimed to advance towards Zossen via Luckau, sidestepping the German Ninth Army. OKH quickly tried to throw any units they could lay their hands on to try and stop Konev. On March 31st, OKH ordered the formation of a panzer company from the various test vehicles at the nearby Kummersdorf Proving Grounds. As part of Kampfgruppe Möws, the ersatz panzer unit was ordered to detrain at the town of Baruth on the road to Zossen, where they would try and block the Russian advance. Accompanied by a grenadier company, the motley collection of panzers included huge beasts such as a King Tiger, Jagdtiger, and a Nashorn.
Attacker: Russian (Lead Elements 6th Guards Red Banner Tank Corps and elements of the 52nd and 53rd Guards Tank Brigades)
Defender: German (Elements of Grenadier-Begleits-Kompanie 1., Kampfgruppe Möws and elements of Panzer-Kompanie Kummersdorf)

2024-12-24(A) Jon Jaramillo vs Daniel V Russian win2 hrsUnfortunately, my opponent failed his PMC in the top of turn 2 during Russian MPh because he lost a couple AFVs, despite the fact that the Russians had lost 3 and were looking at losing a 4th in the German half of the turn. I was very aggressive with the Russians but if you don't want to lose Panzers maybe protect them with some infantry and don't let your opponent run tanks at you until your out of shots to take. I got somewhat lucky, I ran an SU85 up next to him CE and he turned the entire VCA in a building. I won the gun duel and rolled a 4 needing a 5 TH. Burned it and he conceded. A couple squads with PFs would have stopped that foolishness.
2018-06-20(D) keith Spurlock vs Andy Hershey Russian win[Imported from ROAR]
2018-06-01(D) patrick palma vs Kevin Killeen Russian win
2013-04-10(A) Rich Domovic vs Dave Ramirez German winLost two AFVs approaching train, then a wounded leader Panzerfausted a Ht with squad and 9-1 which gave Germans enough points to win by turn three.
