Overview:

Since early March 6, Panzer-Armee had struggled to overcome the defenses of Marshal Tolbukhin's 3rd Ukrainian Front between Lake Balaton and the Danube. While other units had made little progress towards the initial objective, the Sió Canal, a successful night attack by SS-Panzer-Division 12 "Hitlerjugend" had cleared the strongly held junction of Pinkocz-Puszta. This in turn left the lynchpin of the current defensive belt-the town of Dég-isolated and vulnerable to assault. Taking advantage of the early morning mist, SS-Hauptsturmführer Has Siegel launched his armored group towards the town.

2026-03-20(D) Tripp Killin vs Mike Barger Russian winInteresting scenario. Russians are surrounded and have to pull off collapsing defense, as the Germans have the speed and firepower to surround and crush. But the VC are tough...Russians only need one MMC left in the set-up area.
My AT-mines took out two tanks, and my ART guns helped too. I had one SU-100 left for the end-game, and I had set up an Alamo in a multi-level building. Germans ran out of time.
2026-02-23(A) Andy Bagley vs Neil Brunger Russian win5.5 hrsSecond playing of this scenario, and this one couldn't have been closer: Russians won on the final DR of the last CC phase. Slowish start for the Germans, but they avoided serious losses and advanced steadily until the Russians started to crumble. Thought I'd got it until a Russian squad won a 1-2 CC on the last turn, although I had some lucky breaks earlier so can't complain.
2025-12-16(A) Jonathan Kapleau vs Holland, Donald German (SS) win
2025-06-29(D) Daniel Soukup vs Patrick Russian win3 hrs
2025-04-20(A) Jason Wert vs Jeff Wasserman Russian win
