Overview:

Operation BARBAROSSA involved contingents from Allied countries of the Reich, including Hungary. She sent her mobile corps -- Gyorshadtest -- bringing together riders, cyclists, motorized troops and, above all, the bulk of the armor of the Hungarian army. Engaged in early July in Ukraine, the Gyoshadtest won several successes against the rear guards of the retreating Russian enemy. It was therefore a boost in morale that, on July 13, the company of Toldi of Captain Tibor Kárpáthy was attached to a German cycling company. A first maneuver in pincers of armored vehicles and infantry led to the surrender of 200 Frontovik conscripts. Kárpáthy then received the order to pursue the weak enemy. Despite faulty radios, he rushed forward, leaving the Germans far behind.
