Overview:

The Finnish 5th Company, commanded by LT Hannu, defended the most eastern portion of the sector. It's Sj3 bunker had already been destroyed by a direct hit from a 203mm gun on 15 January. Other bunkers and positions had also been destroyed. The Russians attacked along the Lahde sector on 11 February. The attack against 5th Company had no tanks, and Hannu's men inflicted severe casualties on the Russians. To the west, the Russians captured the Sj4 Poppius bunker and broke through the line. Tanks with infantry oved to the east to cut off Hannu's position. The Finns dubbed these tank-infantry teams "mobile zoos". The Russian teams had orders to push along the road and establish strongpoints to secure supply routes. Elements of 5th Company were able to successfully withdraw to avoid being encircled. Finnish ghosts, dressed in white camouflage, were going to haunt the Russians.
