Overview:

In the arctic twilight, the 13th Demi-Brigade of the French Foreign Legion and five Hotchkiss tanks were successfully put ashore by British landing craft northeast of Narvik. One legion battalion and two tanks were sent to retake the supply center of the Norwegian 6th Brigade which had been captured by the Germans. Liberating the weapons depot would provide much-needed arms and ammunition for the Norwegians. . .
Attacker: French (1er Bataillon, 13ème Demi-Brigade de Légion Étrangère / 342ème Compagnie Autonome de Chars de Combat)

2024-11-17(A) Don Nordloff vs Don Petros German winFun scenario, but I ran into a buzz saw of 2s, 3s and 4s. Lost my 9-2 on the first turn. I got into the building, but was not able to break a cagey defender.
2024-04-21(A) Jonathan Plott vs Ian Harper French winPlayed at the Bitter Ender ASL Event in Raleigh, NC this past Weekend. One of the best gaming experiences I have ever had! A 'friendly' game (ie, I was out of the tournament) with a person just learning some of the vehicle and ordnance rules, but it was FUN! Overruns, light mortar ROF tears, improbable close combat outcomes...Ian did a great job and held the Legionnaires at arms length for the victory! Hope we play again soon! Great game, Ian!

2021-06-16(D) Eric Partizan Eric vs German win
2020-10-05(D) Rob MacGinley vs Joe Marranca French winSlowly the French worked up both flanks and Germans unable to pip them
reos did a desperate dash to the building
2020-09-08(A) Jeff Wright vs Stu Rubin German win
2020-08-12(A) Jason Nichols vs Eric Topp French winFrench utilized armoured assault to cover the advance of four squads of Foreign Legion troops down the road while bulf of force moved around to the flank using the hill as cover. The Germans were unlucky with their dice rolls, failing to make an impression on the French. When the bulk of the French force was pushing into the arms depot on turn 4 the Germans capitulated.
Looking at the comments from previous playings it appears the way this scenario plays out is very dependent upon whether the German player manages to kill or delay the French early on. If the French can reach the depot by turn four relatively unscathed they will have the manpower to overwhelm the defenders.
Overall I enjoyed the scenario and the combination of the tanks to provide cover for the advancing infantry. My opponent didn't have much fun however, as his dice rolls were consistently high while the French averaged a 5 for their morale checks.
2020-08-03(A) Jacob Elmqvist vs Ingemar Gardell Draw
2020-05-09(D) Maurizio Mai vs Gunny German winI found it interesting, with HIP set up, and AFVs impossible to be killed. I believe the game was doomed for the French by Turn 3 when A) one tank first malf the MA and then, trying to repair it, broke it and the tank was recalled, B) two fire lines KIAed two MMC and limited the movement of the infantry, C) German MMC fired to the French MMG on the hill, kept the ROF for 4 shots and annihilated the whole stack. French conceded 1,5 turn before the end. My opponent didn't like at all :).
2020-03-15(A) O Ramaille vs German winThe French began well with a critical hit from the mortar that wipe out a squad in a building. The French approach was quite well performed with the armor to prevent the German reinforcements to reach the weapons depot. However, the German reinforcements managed to get into the building and won several close combats with a battle hardened leader. The French lost more than half of their forces and were unable to wipe out the Germand defenders from the building. A German victory.
2020-03-07(D) David Ramsey vs Martin Vicca French winHeld out as long as possible but a critical hit from the mortar destroyed my hopes..
2020-03-07(D) Ian Morris vs Simon Staniforth French winCouldn’t land a shot on him until late in the game. Lost my last MMC to a FPF shot against the three squads coming to cc him.
2020-03-05(A) Simon Staniforth vs French win
2020-02-28(A) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne Duval French winUsed German balance.
2020-02-28(D) Dwayne Duval vs Kevin Duval French win
2018-09-05(D) Paolo Cariolato vs Federico Corso German winWent down to the last CC, there were prisoners so it was sequential.
With my roll 8 or less he would have needed a 3 to win. With a 9 or more 5 was enough. I rolled a 9 and he rolled a 5.
That said the scenario is old and it shows, too long, nothing for the defence except skulk for the first three turns. Then it's defending a single building.

2014-03-04(A) Pablo Barreiro vs Jorge French winOne of my favorite scenarios.
2012-10-07(D) nathan wegener vs Dan Best French winHad a good time with this despite losing. I left the H39s alone figuring I wasn't going to stop them anyway. Eventually they got a couple of good rolls on key defenders in the victory building and cracked the defense just enough to allow German squads to get loose inside the building and break the defense.
2012-09-23(A) Chuck Dye vs JJ German win
2012-08-10(D) Jeff T vs JVan German winFun scenario. The French got to the factory and were getting the upper hand, controlling two stairwells but they failed to interdict the German reinforcements who made it in the back door and up the back stairwell. Up close fighting in the factory was punctuated by a German demo breaking some French on the stairs and then the German sniper started killing leaders. The French couldn't take the German counterpunch and were forced to concede on Turn 7.
2012-08-10(A) John Van Natta vs Jeff T. German winSee Jeff T's account of the battle. I liked this scenario. I played well up until the point that I neglected to interdict his reinforcements. Once they got into the victory building it was too much for the French.
2012-08-04(A) Michael Focht vs Jason Burnette French win
2011-10-09(A) Martí Cabré vs Òscar Oliver French winGood scenario of early war. There are a lot of French troops but they have to clear a big building. I guess usually it all resolves in CC battles inside the target building. The two French H39 AFV are difficult to kill, but they don't have much punch. Fun thing: a French sniper killed a German leader and broke two squads with the same shot!
