Overview:
Elements of the British 50th Infantry Division, supported by armor of the Royal Dragoon Guards, and preceded by a massive naval and air bombardment, finally succeeded in taking the village of Lingevres. But three hours after retreating, the grenadiers of Panzer Lehr counterattacked, with armor support from west and east. Besides the defending British infantry, only three Shermans of the 8th Armoured Brigade, grouped near the square attempting to cover all the roads into the hamlet, stood to challenge the Panthers.Attacker: German (Panzergrenidier Regiment 902 and Panzer Regiment 6)
