Overview:

"Lightning War" --- The Italian Centauro Division was tasked with driving down the Drin Valley to identify the Greek main line of resistance. The Greeks had a small blocking force forward, in the village of Elea, several kilometers ahead of the line. The screening force was to delay the Italian advance, causing it to deploy so that the Greeks would have time to man their defenses. The Greeks did this job admirably, falling back as the Italians brought forward L/3 tankettes.

2026-09-12(D) Jobbo Fett vs RootinPutin Italian winMessed up the Gun rules and gave the win to my opponent as a result. Its an odd scenario that, I think, is imbalanced in favor of the Italians. Optimal placement is required for the AA guns, as well as the Mortar - but the lack of concealment and the varied LOS that can be drawn really makes it tough to choose where to stand and fight. As a result, the Greeks must spread out to cover any opportunities to move past the line. This is also in conjunction with the Italians having 40 VP in vehicles starting on-board and able to get off the map whenever, and starting with 2 points for stone buildings, and earn CVP normally on top of that!

The Italians need to avoid losses to their vehicles and try to grab prisoners against the Green Greeks.
