Overview:
The situation at the crossroads was critical: additional German forces were forming up for a massive assault on both flanks of Baraque de Fraiture. Desperately needed armor support from Task Force Kane had been stripped way and sent north for an unsuccessful attack on Dochamps. Further requests from the crossroads defenders were answered with the dispatch of Task Force Richardson. American reinforcements arriving just north of the crossroads found their position untenable. The N-15 Highway was now cut by a German roadblock, forcing any reinforcements headed for the crossroads to fight their way through.Attacker: American (C Company, 509th PIR with TF Richardson, 3rd Armored Division)
