Overview:
Playtest ASL scenario - - - -The Kharkov salient impeded vital Russian communication and supply lines. Several attempts to take this strategic city had failed. Stalin realizing the importance of Kharkov ordered its immediate capture. The newly rehabilitated 5th Guard Tank Army was given the task of encircling Kharkov. It was clear to the Germans that the Russians would not make another frontal assault. Thus, anti-tank defenses were set up in-depth on the northern perimeter of the salient. At the last moment the 2nd SS Panzer Division “Das Reich” arrived and took positions near the endangered sector.Attacker: Russian (Mixed elements of the 5th Guards Tank Army)
