Overview:

The 2nd Battalion, 11th PA Regiment defended along the Maladang-Concepcion Road. The area was generally flat and covered with sugar cane and uncultivated grass. The troops built defenses, but their only fortifications were wire and they dug foxholes. The Japanese had regrouped and a battalion-size force of the Kanno Detachment advanced from Concepcion towards Maladang, hitting the defenses at 1630. The 2nd Battalion received the blunt of the attack, but put up stiff resistance. They were supported by two self-propelled 75s that inflicted heavy casualties on the attackers.
Attacker: Japanese (Elements of Kanno Detachment, 48th Motorized Division)

2025-11-15(A) Paul Legg vs Frazer Greenshield Japanese winBounding Fire Main Tournament (Fanatic Division) Round 3

I launched an all out attack on the Japanese right looking to use the enclosed kunai as cover. The mortars were found lacking with only one finding any smoke but I pushed forward eliminating units in cc and receiving prisoners. As Frazer rushed to reposition his troops on the left as I looked at it I made it to the other side of that kunai enclosure and set about the next line of defense. Come turn 3 I had stunned one of the GMC and launched a banzai to catch the retreating PA, it was at this point Frazer failed his PMC and conceded. Understandably as the Japanese can win just by exiting if they suffer only 9CVP or less in the process. I had improved that by taking about 10CVP with the possibility of more from the banzai advancing fire/cc for the loss of 4CVP. His left flank(my right) was wide open.
2025-11-15(D) Alex Ashton vs Andrew Cochrane Japanese winSet up my fortifications on one side of the board and Andrew advanced down the other side.
Despite killing just over 20 Japanese CVPs the Filipino squads were just too brittle and couldn’t stand up to the relentless Japanese advance.
I resigned on turn 5 as I wasn’t able to stop Andrew fulfilling the victory occasions.

2023-11-04(A) Richard Jenulis vs Bill Slunt Japanese winWest Coast Rumble 2023 (round 3). The Filipino held tough for the first three turns. Then, the wheels fell off and the whole line broke.
