Overview:

Among those landed in the initial stages of Operation Torch, the 7th RLT was assigned to capture the Batterie de Fedala. After a shaky landing at beach Red 2, the 1st Battalion moved easily through Fedala. A member of Patton’s staff, Colonel Wilbur, knew the surrounding terrain and took the point, riding on one of the lead tanks of company A. Just before noon, the location of the French gun battery could be seen. Immediately, Colonel Wilbur ordered the attack against the strangely silent strong point.
Attacker: American (Company A, 1st Battalion Landing Team, 7th RLT and 2nd Platoon, Company A, 756th Tank Battalion)
Defender: Vichy French (Batterie de Fedala)

2026-09-06(A) Vic Lauterbach vs RV American winThe scenario is challenging for both sides. The US attacker must push hard to reach the gun positions, but avoid giving the French too many -2 FF shots. Both sides are light on leaders which makes rallying tough. I quickly ran low on GO MMC, but the M3s carried the day (barely). Two gun malfunctions really helped me, and it still came down an overrun on the final turn! The key to the French defense is the gun setup. Renato spread them out which make it hard to reach all of them. Great game as always!
2021-11-23(A) Kevin Duval vs Dwayne Duval Vichy French winUsed American balance. French Guns made devastating hit after devastating hit. Americans couldn't even make it past the Gully line and not one Gun was Eliminated or even Malfunctioned.
2020-05-14(A) John Garlic vs Dmitri Garlic Vichy French win
2020-03-30(D) David Garvin vs Nick Faryna Vichy French winFrench win. I held onto one gun. US had the balance (No dummies for the French).
Nice, tight match.
2020-03-06(D) David Ramsey vs Steve Cook Vichy French winGreat french dice gave me the win. The Guns earned the victory taking out 3 Stuarts and a stack of 3 American squads in a building.
