Reworking of CH123 "The Bardia Waterworks". . .It was the task of the 300th Regiment, Frontier Guards (a fortress unit) to defend from the enemy the single most important non-munitions item in the Western Desert -- water. The Bardia waterworks possessed the means to pump, process and distribute a large quantity of the precious liquid. Despite it strategic importance, morale plummeted among the defenders of Bardia the moment it was threatened.Attacker: Australian / British (16th Australian Brigade with attached support from 6th Australian Cavalry Regiment and 7th Royal Tank Regiment)
