Overview:
The Soviets reached the Vistula River just as the Germans were concentrating their best panzer divisions in the area. Cutting off the Russian spearhead was now a real possibility, and the Germans used their elite troops to secure the roads which were the Russian armor's feeding tubes. The role of the Hermann Goring division was to plow head first into the 3rd Tank Corps, fixing it in place and preventing retreat as the other German divisions closed around behind it.Attacker: German (Hermann Göring Division)
