Overview:
Having seen jeeps used effectively to destroy aircraft, Major Stirling devised a grand plan to obliterate the aircraft at one of the major airfields near Fuka. Basically a phalanx of jeeps would cruise around the airfield and the force of outward fire would stop any resistance. After many rehearsals of “formation driving” the SAS travelled 80 miles and began the raid.Attacker: British (L Detahment and attached LRDG Units)
