Overview:

The US 115th Infantry Regiment moved out in the morning to cross the Aure Valley; its mission was Saint-Lô, 24 miles to the south. The 3d Battalion was the first across the valley, taking several hours to cross the mile-and-a-half; the 2nd Battalion followed in its wake, and several hours later the 1st Battalion, whose crossing two-miles further east was frustrated by German machine-guns, also used the 3rd Battalion’s path. By the afternoon, all three battalions had fanned out into the bocage and continued their advance south towards Saint-Lô. The 1st Battalion, moving to take the crossroad near the village of Briqueville, stumbled upon a strongpoint belonging to the 915.Grenadierregiment, whose mission was to protect the left flank of Trevières.
Attacker: American (Elements of 1st Battalion, 115th Infantry Regiment , 29th Infantry Division)

2022-03-29(A) Alberto González Ramírez vs Juan American winDecided in the last half turn. I think it's quite balanced.
2022-03-26(A) Michael Rodgers vs Ray McCusker American winI was able to take enough buildings on the last turn.
2022-02-11(A) Richard Jenulis vs Terry Gray German winNorthwest ASL Championship round 1

2021-09-03(D) Dan Best vs Russ Gifford American winSioux City Tournament 2021. Pre-tourney game.
2021-06-25(A) Andy Bagley vs Neil Brunger American winI concentrated my attack through the woods on the East flank, encountering wire as expected. However, I cross this with little delay (and later removed it with sappers), and went on to win the firefight east of the village. The turning point was the German 8-0 leader, who repeatedly failed to self-rally even when not under DM. Had he come back and rallied a couple of broken German squads the outcome might have been different. As it was, the remaining Germans were well outmatched by superior American firepower, and my forces easily secured the required victory building on the final American turn.
2021-06-25(D) Paul Legg vs Peter Catchpole German winDouble One 2021 round 1 played with American balance.
2021-05-27(D) Simon Staniforth vs German winFortified the 2 stone buildings and protected one heavily with all the wire which was just able to hold out in the final turn
2021-03-03(A) Indy Lagu vs Rob Oler German winI tried going behind the bocage and through the woods. It
was a big mistake! Rob set up all of his wire in the woods.
Instead of getting hung up on it, I had to move my attack across
the board and through the grain. This cost me two turns (of 6),
and the game was essentially lost at that point.

Rob's shooting left my attack in shambles. I couldn't get a decent
firegroup together with Gang Green.

I'd certainly play this again as either side. Rob's defence was strong as ever, and
my attack was disorganized.
2021-02-14(A) Chris Bryer vs Bill J German winFantastic game. The Germans received the balance and was definitely needed. A nail biter all the way and great Infantry/Gun/Goodies West Front favorite.
