Overview:
After taking Inor by surprise on the 15th of May and being repulsed later by French 75mm gun fire when they tried to take Martincourt, the Germans started to fortify the village. Both Martincourt and Inor were thereafter subject to heavy bombardment that heavily damaged them. The French started to receive reinforcements during the night, mainly a battalion from the 74eme Regiment d'Infanterie which launched a probing attack on the 16th from Martincourt to evaluate German defenses in Inor Village.Attacker: French (74eme Régiment d'Infantérie)
